Oriental Influences

Over at Out of a Hat Creations they have gone all oriental.  I decided to decorate another mousetrap.  After giving the base a coat of gesso I painted it with a bright red Steward Gill paint.  I stamped the background writing in black Stazon from a stamp on the Paperartsy Asian plate 3 set.  The images are from a mini book called ATC Oriental Paper Pad by Leisure Arts.  Oriental charms were added to finish.

I've never seen this before; a mouse trap for oriental mice. But I think they will like it as much as I do LOL.

Oriental and mousetrap really go well together for some bizarre reason.

Hi Sam
I love your Asian mousetrap and just for fun I'm going to ask my friend to bring you one from China so you can alter it! He asked what I wanted so he's going to get a shock!
Wouldn't the mousetraps make great calendars with the date pages in the trap bar?
Love jo x

For some reason your oriental theme works really well on the mouse trap! I'm still intrigued by how you paint these without getting trapped. Am I being particularly dense??!!
