A Crafty Day

Fraz made friends with Emma, by virtually sitting on her!!

Then he decided that she needed a wash!!!

Then we actually made something using the larger of the mdf plaques, fresco paints and LP stamps.  This is mine.

This is the one Emma made.

We then moved on to memory glass and alcohol inks.  I used the wrong type of stamp, I should of used something with a bolder image.

This is Emma's.  We mounted them onto corrugated cardboard to give it depth and edged it with window leading.  Emma pinched the edges around hers - looks good, dunnit.

We both made another tag using chipboard pieces and metal sticky foil.  This is mine, Emma didn't like hers so we didn't get a photo of it.

Then eventually he calmed down and was her best friend for a while whilst she was doing a spot of blogging and tweeting!!!

Busy Bee

Over at Stampotique this week they are asking for some transparency!!  Hmmm....so what to do then??

Also over at Anything But A Card this week they are asking for us to dust off our old supplies???

So I came up with this to combine the two challenges.  Acetate, stamps and paint I've used recently, but I haven't used 2" Ranger memory glass and my Sizzix frame die for absolutely yonks.

I painted the chipboard frames in haystack fresco paint as a base layer, then again in zesty zing for a brighter yellow.  I used T!m's hexagon background stamp coz I thought it represented bee hives.  I originally stamped the bee onto the glass, but when I came to colour it in, all the black stazon ink came off.  So I stamped onto a piece of acetate instead and coloured that, but still used the glass, sandwiched it with the acetate inside the chipboard frames and added a piece of fibre so I could hang it.

Lotstodo Week 29 - Paris

This weeks theme on Lotstodo is Paris. I made this box out of mountboard. Stamped the inside, added the Eifel Tower in 3d, an admissions ticket and some flowers. I enclosed the box by adding a piece of memory glass to the front and trimming the edges with metalic copper coloured tape

Key Rings / Chains

Still waiting for my key chains to arrive, unfortunately there's been some hiccup with RM (say no more), but I found a shop it town that sells them today so I got a few to keep me going. Top one is UTEE marbled background with a UTEE sun from one of the moulds and the bottom one is a collage between 2 pieces of 2" x 2" memory glass and the sides have been dipped in the marbled UTEE to seal - these are on sale in my Ebay shop http://stores.ebay.co.uk/samshandmadecrafts?ssPageName=ADME:L:storeconfirma:UK:10001

Key Chains

The first couple I have made using 2" memory glass and dipped them into the hot UTEE to seal the edges - this is much harder than it looks!!! The third, same thing, except used 1" x 3" pieces of memory glass. \And lastly is another buddie, head bottle top, body UTEE, arms chain and charms and beads for the legs

Memory Glass

These have been created using 2 pieces of memory glass and then dipping the edges into the coloured UTEE to seal. Did the one on the left first and then realised that I couldn't attach anything to it, so got wise for the second one and added a metal pin to the top so that I could add a key chain
