Inchies

On a FB group that I'm in we are having an inchies challenge. The idea is that everyone makes seven inchies, sends them to the person organising it. She puts them all on a board to display them. Everyone who contributed gets their name put into the draw and the name drawn out wins the board.

And yes I know there are nine above, but one rule was they all had to be different colours and I did two blue ones and the white one very top right is just there as a reference to the tile below it.

JFF - Week 14 - Inchies

Over on JFF this week it's Neet's turn to decide on the monthly theme, she has chosen 'size matters'.  The first week, it's inchies.  No, you aren't mistaken, this is not an inchie (1x1), it's a fat page (4x4).   I created the background using the new TH distress stains, wild honey and forest moss.  I stamped the images with walnut stain distress ink.  I used the spellbinders labels 2 dies to mount the main image.

I then cut the fat page into 16 1 inch squares.  I mounted them in a wooden frame I'd covered in gesso and went around the edges with walnut stain distress stain.

Tuesday Taggers - Houses

Tuesday Taggers are asking for anything houses this week.  I decided on these 4 inchies.  I stamped them, painted them with water colours, cut them out and gave them a black border.

The CraftBarn are sponsors of this weeks challenge.

Inchies Swap - Free Theme

Sid is also hosting an inchies swap on the UKStampers forum, but this one was easier as it's free theme, so I've chosen to make a few different ones. The 3 running diagonally from left to right are stamped and then water coloured with paints. The 3 with images on are all from Lisa's Altered Art and the other 3 are stamped

Lotstodo Week 14 Art - Inchies and Arches

I was messing around with some bits and bobs (inspired by Stampers' Sampler magazine) and arrived at this!!! I wanted to use some different colours, and if you look very closely you'll see some pink, yes, pink!! Although it is very limited, as in my stash there isn't much!!! I managed to find 3 whole squares and a half of one!!

Anyway, this weeks theme on lotstodo is 'art' so I though this piece fitted in really well.

A Few New Stamps

A few inchies. The eyes have been embellished with diamond glaze but it doesn't show up on the photo

This is a trinchie. I really love this stamp. I'm going to use it on a tag with distressed embossing powder
An arch. I stamped the swirl on the right and then used the gold stickles to trace over it

A couple of skinnys, nearly the same, but not quite!!!

House and Inchies Swap

I am hosting a house swap on Lotstodo, which has to incorporate 4 housie themed inchies. I painted all of my inchies using my new water colour pallet. The background may alter as I can't decide if it's too plain or not!!!

Mounted Inchies

I pinched this idea of my mate Hilda, although she's ok with is as she sent me the canvas to mount the inchies on!!!!! I coated it in Jo Sonja's pale green paint, when dry, sponged on acrylic pale green and gouache green paints. After the whole piece had dried I used black stazon on and added some flourishes to the edges.

I did an any theme inchies swap with Hilda, a number swap on Zuzu's forum and a blog challenge on Small World of Inchies

This can also be included in the Arty Girlz challenge for this week, which was to use paint
