ATC's

I created a couple of masterboards, the backgrounds are distressed oxides and I stencilled with stazon.

Then I chopped them into ATC sized pieces and decorated them using images in the style of india.  I also used lots of bling, trim and sparkles.

FAB Tags 30 Challenge - More Tags

I cut some tags and used clear modelling paste through a stencil.

I used oxides to colour them and then stitched around the outsides.

Placed the smaller ones on top of the big ones to see what they looked like.

Then I added different colours of treasure gold to the stencilled areas.

I got a few embellishments out and had a play around until I got something I liked.

Glued everything down and here are the finished tags. More for the FAB tag 30 challenge.

Large Bokeh Tags

Came across a technique called 'Bokeh Backgrounds' so I gave it a go.

A Couple of Tags

I used oxides on the background, added a piece of fabric which had previously been stamped with spikey haired boy by Teesha Moore which I machine stitched onto the tag. I added some of Seth Stamps from the rotary set in seedless preserve oxide.

I made this tag as Version Scrap is on this weekend, and four years ago I was lucky enough to attend the show and then have a day sight seeing. The Eiffel Tower was ticked off the list of places to visit.

Artzone Stencil by Debs Wainwright 2nd Stencil

This is the second of the stencils I was sent to play with - Skellen DWSTC-SKELLEN003.

I created a background on a tag using distress oxides.

I edged it in my absolute favourite colour of the ones that have been released up to now - black.

And simply put DecoArt black modeling paste through the stencil. I didn't do any more to it as I didn't think it needed it.

These are the five stencils Debs has designed. They are available to buy now from her Etsy shop here, and they are soon to be available at Country View Crafts and Handmade at Helens.

I haven't been paid to do or say any of this, I was simply sent a couple of stencils to play with. But what I would like to say, and this is only my opinion, is that the stencils are very easy to work with, they are of a good quality weight and because of this they are very easy to clean as there are no flimsy delicate parts. As you can see, they are very versatile, you can use them either way round, they leave a great impression and you can easily isolate different parts, so you don't have to use all the stencil. They are excellent value for money, they retail at £5.75 and I wouldn't hesitate to buy them.

Black Soot Oxide Edged Tag

I used the black soot oxide to edge the tag, love how it looks over the other colours.

Tags

I stamped on some of the tag backgrounds I made eariler. I used Dina Wakley stamps for the main images and used black soot oxides to stamp with.

These are stamped with black stazon as I wanted to see the difference.

Oxides Play - New Colours

My new set of Ranger Distress Oxides arrived yesterday - yay!

So obviously, I had to have a little play with them.

I started off with a few tags.

The black soot is lush.

I had some black left on the mat so decided to see how well it stamps. I got a perfect crisp finish, but I spritzed them to see what would happen and the above is what I got.

Using a sponge, I picked up the colour direct from the ink pad and put it through a stencil, this is the piece on the right. Took the stencil off, spritzed it with water and laid a piece of card over the top to get the left hand side image.

This is the twisted citron, picked raspberry and black soot.

And finally a couple of small tags to use the leftover card up.

A Couple of Oxide Tags

Created the background with the distress oxides. Seth border stamps and my new steampunk man stamped in timber brown stazon and then an Andy Skinner stamp lightly stamped in the background.

And more or less the same with this one. Seth border stamp, Andy skinner main images and background stamp all stamped in timber brown stazon.

And the pair side by side.

6 x 6 & Tag

I muted down some of the background page that I created yesterday by brayering over with a wash of titan buff media paint.  Then using a toothbrush, I spritzed and flicked the rest of the paint. I used a couple of T!m Holtz stamps in timber brown stazon, a dog from the paper dolls Idea-ology pack and whizzed around the outside with the sewing machine. It measures 6" x 6".

And another tag with a Stampotique figure, an Idea-ology dog and again more machine stitching around the edges.

Explore Everything Tag

Ooooh it's been, and still is, so hot today. I was urging to do something but I really was so hot and bothered, however I did manage this tag using Seth's stamps and dies and distress oxides. I finally cracked open the fossilized amber! The good thing is, it's great weather to get a decent photo!
