Mousetrap!!
Over at Out of the Hat Creations a couple of weeks ago they had a challenge to decorate of all things, a mousetrap!! Now I struggled to find one so wasn't able to join in. Florence from the DT kindly offered to send me one to try, so I accepted her kind invitation. After a couple of further emails a huge box of mousetraps arrived at my house, so I had to have a play.
Now a new challenge site was launched on Sunday - ABAC - and a new challenge will be set every 2 weeks. ABAC stands for anything but a card, and this week they are going with an easy one, 'Anything goes', except obviously anything but a card!!! So I'm entering my mousetrap.
Now my mate Nicky (aka Altered Inker) was part of my inspiration for the above and she is taking a workshop called Trap Happy on Saturday at Snazzy's for this very same thing, if you want to find out more, check here. The other part of the inspiration was T!m's September tag.

Looks fab, Sam. But how do you decoate it without trapping your fingers?
I think this is fabulous! Well done. And it even has a function; you can put your little notes on it!
Hugs,
Marianne
Wow! Sam, this is fantastic. I have been waiting to see what you would come up with. Brilliant!!
Regards Florence x
This is the best mousetrap I've seen and I love it!! The metal tape works brilliantly here. To echo Deborah's question: how do you decorate these? I've wondered that since I've been seeing them popping up on blogs! Great work.

Well, all I can say it that you have to be very careful. Most of the bits I've taken off and just left the clip bit which I held open between a thumb and finger whilst having said paintbrush in the other hand. Trying to cover it in the sticky foil was tricky without squishing the embossing, but I think I got there!!!
If anyone wants one to try, email me your addy and I'll pop one in the post for you.
Email button is on my side bar.
Bravo!! A beautiful trap!! I plan on making these for Christmas gifts.
What an amazing trap Sam!! Good grief this must have taken some work!! So impressive. Hugs, Buttons x
