Cabinet Frames and Cards

Mr T!m Holtz of Idea-ology has just brought out a fabulous release of new items.  However, some of them to me are 'convenience items' and can easily be made from what you already have.  Therefore, I decided to make my own.

So I made a masterboard from scraps, cut out rectangles and ovals using dies to create the frames.

And I was left with the middle parts, so win win.

I then made some tag shapes and covered them in various background papers.

I also decided to make some more clusters as I was going along as I wanted to try and incorporate them somehow in the tags and frames.

And this is what I ended up with.  The three tags on the right have three of the above clusters incorporated in them.

Vintage Tags

I made some more tags today but with a vintage theme.

Some close ups of the tags.

Used some mini clusters which I'd previously made.

Day 24 Tags - Embossed and Steampunk

Backgrounds coloured with oxides and embossed with a clock/time folder. Die cut cogs and TH film added.

And I simply just added a paper doll to each tag as I didn't want to cover too much of the background up.

Day 20 - Hangy Tags

Another set inspired by Tracie.  She calls them hangy tags.  I think the one on the right needs a bit more chain as it looks a little tight on the photo.

Close up of the hangy tag, eyelets and chain.

And for this one I used the T!m Holtz ball and chain chain.

Day 19 Tags Inspired by Tracie F

After watching one of Tracie's youtube videos I came up with these for my specimens.

Added them to double tags with some specimen labels.

A little close up.

These are for the #fabtag30day challenge, and we are currently on day 19.

Day 18 - More Tag Clusters

Firstly I arranged the leftover tags from yesterday into more clusters.

Again I started to play around with some vintage ephemera.

And finally came up with these.  I really enjoyed making these, especially the upside down ones.

So these are for day 18 of the #fabtag30day challenge.

Day 17 Tag Clusters

The prep work.

Then I started to pull a few things together.

And here they are, all finished.

These are my day 17 tags for the #fabtag30day challenge.

FAB Tags 30 Challenge - More Tags

I cut some tags and used clear modelling paste through a stencil.

I used oxides to colour them and then stitched around the outsides.

Placed the smaller ones on top of the big ones to see what they looked like.

Then I added different colours of treasure gold to the stencilled areas.

I got a few embellishments out and had a play around until I got something I liked.

Glued everything down and here are the finished tags. More for the FAB tag 30 challenge.

Napkin Background Tags

Spritzed a layer of plain napkin with water and added droplets of distress re-inkers.

Once dry, I stuck it to a piece of card.

Used gesso to tone it down a bit.

Chopped it up into tag sized pieces.

Added various colours of gelatos and distress crayons.

Cut them into tag shapes and sewed around the edges.

Added some tissue papers to the top two smaller tags.

Next I added some script stamping in timber brown stazon.

Added various embellishments and a paper doll.

And the same with this one.

Finished tags side by side.

Inspired by Andrea at ARTYmaze - thank you.

Vintage Style Double Tag

Using some of the die cuts from the books I got from The Works I started to play with the layouts.

I also incorporated some of the embellishments I made too.

I used clear crackle paste through a stencil and then rubbed over with treasure gold in gold, green and blue.

Close up of the treasure golds.

And the crackle.

I machine stitched the tags

and added some lace trim.

Butterfly wings and T!m's Paper Dolls.

And finally the finished tag.
