The last week of Vons shapes theme on the JFF challenge blog is 'trinagle(s)' The base of the triangle is a piece of card with duck egg muslin sewn on to it and then roughly cut in a triangle shape. The image, which has been coated in ice resin, was machine stitched to the fabric and card. A button and a word were added. Now you might think that I did not get that messy making this piece, but I can assure you I did!! I got absoultely covered in tiny shreds of fabric from cutting and ripping all the tassles at the bottom!!!

JFF - Week 10 - Circle(s)
It's Vons turn to choose this months JFF theme and she has chosen 'shapes' with the first one being 'circles'. I covered an old cd with small pieces of lasagne and then painted with gesso. I applied another layer of lasagne and then another layer of gesso. Once dry, I painted with mushroom acrylic dabbers. When dry, I rubber across it with my finger using gold to get a contrast. The image is from one of the CI books. The outside of the inner circle is covered in rock candy distressed stickles. I put brads in the metal plate which says cherish and attached with silicone glue!!!
The other side is backed with a piece of background card that I'd previously made. Ribbon and fibres were added underneath the backing.

JFF - Week 8 - Stamping with a difference
This is Zoe's last week of the 'let's try it out' theme on JFF. She has asked that we use a stamp in a different or new way. Remember a while ago when I made my own stamps with foam and a piece of wood - here, well I decided to use one of them to create this background. I watered down black eco friendly paint and washed it over a piece of absorbent paper out of a pink pig sketchbook. Once dry I scraped gesso over it using an old credit card. Once dried I painted the homemade stamp with red pepper acrylic dabber paint and printed onto the paper. Once dry I painted the stamp again but this time with white eco friendly paint and stamped over the red.
I haven't decided what to do with it yet, but on one of the yahoo groups I belong to there is a 'printed' swap going on. This includes creating the stamp, creating the background and then making it into something, so I might just have a go at that.

Canvas and Clay
This is a flat canvas measuring 10" x 8" just to give you some idea of size. I put a good thick layer of texture paste around all the edges. I added about 6 pieces of text book pages with mod podge, but didn't like it so I painted the whole canvas in silver acrylic dabber and added black to the edges. I added gold and bronze to break up the solid black. I then decided that the middle was too silver so I added some gold, pearl and bronze. I didn't like that either so I covered it with tan eco-friendly paint, but used an old credit card to scrape it over. Once this had dried I stamped various images with black stazon.
The heart shape is made from pearl, gold and bronze polymer clay. Once I'd got the shape I more or less wanted I started adding bits and pieces to it. Screws to each side, smaller screw heads to the top left, a cog from a watch top, an open safety pin, a cog, brads, chain and pin linked togehter, a button and an 's' shape at the bottom. Once I'd pushed them into the clay I used my TSS tools to make the dots and dashes marks. The gold colour hoop at the top is a curtain ring with copper wire wrapped round it. I baked it all in the mini oven.
Once cooled, I put the two pieces together and added a few more cogs and wires to the canvas.
