Artful Times - Challenge 14
I chose this weeks Artful Times challenge theme and I stipulated a postcard which must contain alphabet letters and / or script. The background was created by layering various brands and colours of spray inks and Stewart Gill paints. The TH alphabet was stamped lightly over the background in black soot distress stain and the letters accented with a white pen. A Paperartsy alphabet strip was stamped down the left hand side and a numbers strip along the bottom. I stamped a ruler image on paper and coloured it with brushed corduroy distress ink, tore it and attached it to the background. The '5a' was cut from the TH Wordplay die in chipboard and coloured with walnut stain distress stain and outlined with a black sharpie. The word believe is a rub on and finally I added the image. All the edges were distressed using a paper distresser and edged in walnut stain distress stain.
Check out what Neet and Von made over at the Artful Times blog challenge.

Fabulous background Sam :)
Von ♥
I never fail to be amazed by how versatile and clever you are with your artwork Sam and this is no exception. Thanks for kicking my mojo into action hun. Hugs, Buttons x
Really love your background Sam - it contains everything I love: ink, paint and stamps used to brilliant effect. The image of the little girl is beautiful. Now I'm going to think about a postcard - not done one of these challenges before and looking forward to it.
Have a great weekend.

I may have just done this post but if that's the case, delete one and put it down to my age!!
A while ago, the hugely talented Ana at:
http://anina-papirckalnica.blogspot.co.uk/
nominated me for a blog award called Child's Shoe Blog Award. It's essentially a method of increasing the footfall through your blog and someone recognising the creativity of your work. I've finally done my post and I've put your name down as one of my five nominees. If you pop over to my blog you can read about it.
I'd love you to include yourself as I always enjoy seeing your work.
