Mini Chest

I painted the box in black gesso and way playing around with some resin pieces.

I decided on pipework for the bottom part.

I stuck everything down with heavy body gel.

Added some of the small sand balls to create some texture.

I painted the whole of the outside with paynes grey.

I then decided that I wanted it to be lighter, so I stippled on medium grey acrylic paint.

I added lots and lots of different coloured acrylics and waxes until I was happy with what I had.

This is the front with the clasp of the chest.

One of the sides.

The back, I really like how the back came out.

The other side.

The top and front.

And I've just left the inside plain black.

Skull in a Jar

I cast a skull and coloured it up.  I needed it raised out of the lid so I used a cotton spool and some cardboard.

I glued a large spider on the top of the jar.

I added white shredded paper and some mini resin embellishments.

I used brushed iron alchemy wax on the embellishments.

And after I'd coloured them I decided that it needed a proper more stable base, so covered a coaster with black powertex and added in some small sand balls.

I used white powertex to dry brush over the coaster to show the sand balls and texture.

And then finally a shot in the garden.

Dolls Head in a Jar

I started off playing with plastic spiders, a jar and black tulle.

I painted the dolls head and gave her some make-up!

And this was the end result.

Santa of the Dead

I covered a skull with a mix of powertex and different sizes of sandballs.  I added a couple of flowers in the eyes, but they have kind of got lost, so did the mouth, so I was playing around with some hardware in the shape of nuts, bolts and screws.

Once I was happy with the mouth/teeth, I then started playing around with pieces for the nose and eyes.

Added a gem to each eye socket and some red roses.

I then added hand charms and some chain.

Due to all of the nuts and bolts at the front, I needed to add some 'weight' to the back so it would stand up on the wooden spool.

I actually love how he turned out. He is for sale in my on-line shop.

Dinky Altered Chutney Jar

Martin's been eating up the chutney that we got for Christmas!!  The square jars are so cute and dinky.

I coated the jar with black powertex and then added some sandballs for texture.

I added some resin embellishments to each side.

I dry brushed with gold on the jar and then silver on the embellishments.

And the other two sides of the jar.
