From left to right -
Tag 1 - PaperArtsy Fresco Paints - Hey Pesto, Autumn Fire, Haystack
Tag 2 - Portfolio Pastels - Yellow, Yellow-Green, Orange
Tag 3 - Distress Paints - Mustard Seed, Mowed Lawn, Spiced Marmalade
Tag 4 - Distress Stains - Mustard Seed, Mowed Lawn, Ripe Persimmon
As you can see I made four tags more or less the same but using different bases of paints, inks and pastels. I wanted to see how the same colours worked in different mediums with the same stamps.
I used T!m Holtz Classics Set #1 stamp plate, some tissue tape and stazon ink in mustard, pumpkin, cactus green and of course jet black.
These tags were inspired by Michelle Webb on her Pan Pastel class with Kate Crane. Michelle is guest designing this week over on the PaperArtsy blog which is where I initially saw them.

Gorgeous tags, Sam they are fabulous - and I love the stamps (may have to go "on the list"!)
loving the look of these tags using the different products
lovely tags Sam. I was very interested to see how the effect varied.
So cool to see the various products in action lined up like that - fabulous tags too!

An interesting experiment, Sam, and they all look good. Although there are slight colour variatons the coverage/effect looks more or less the same. Although the Pan Pastels have blended more than the others. Makes me wonder if I buy too many different products.
Do you have a favourite?
Gorgeous colours on all of them Sam. You are one very busy lady
Love Chrissie xx
They aren't pan pastels Deb they are portfolio pastels.
I like them all but for different reasons.

It was really nice to meet you yesterday Sam. It makes such a big difference meeting people from the blogs you visit. I have a better idea who people are now. I didn't spot this post before, but I love your experiment with colours here on these tags. Michelle x
