Pan Pastels, Stamping & Erasing

I blended the Permanent Red (340.5) and the Permanent Green (640.5) pan pastels to make the background.  Stamped my new Stampendous stamp 'Ranunculus Field' in black archival ink and took my rubber/eraser to the leaves and the flower heads.

Lovely colours. These pan pastels are they like the soft pastels from the early days? Like powder? And you have to spray them with a fixative ?
I will google about it, haven't seen them here in our stores yet.
Love the stamp you used. Hugs, Marianne
