Pan Pastels & Stencils

Well here are some of my pan pastel and stencil efforts using the stencils I got at the craft show last weekend.  This is the Crafters Workshop stencil, 'burst', used with pan pastels Neutral Grey Tint (820.8), Turquoise Shade (580.3) and Ultramarine Blue Extra Dark (520.1).

I used two stencils for this one, the background is 'cubist' using pan pastel Turquoise Shade (580.3).  The foreground stencil is made by Imagination Crafts and is called 'Butterfly & Daisy'.  For the flowers I used Permanent Red (340.5) and Permanent Green (640.5).  The butterfly colours are Violet Shade (470.3) and Magenta (430.5).

This is a Crafters Workshop Balzer Designs stencil, 'Mini Flower Frame'.  Before I used the stencil I covered the whole of the card with Yellow Ochre (270.5).  I used Permanent Red (340.5) for the petals and Orange Shade (280.3) for the centres.  I then took a rubber (eraser) and lifted off some of the pastel.
**A tip, if you are going to use a rubber, make sure you clean it off every time you rub it into the pastel or the colour you take off will transfer**

Love these samples - not as easy as it looks to get lovely crisp edges like you have. Thanks for the tip re the eraser.

Hugs, Neet x
