Stampotique Tag Quartet

Over at Stampotique they have a DT call, so I thought I'd give it a go. They wanted to see something new and in your own style. Anyone who knows me, knows my love of tags and that my favourite colour is green, so I decided to go with this theme.  Using four #8 tags, I coloured them with various shades of green fresco paints.

I randomly stencilled snowflake fresco paint onto the tags.

Then toned them down using pumpkin soup, limelight and smoked paprika fresco paints and a baby wipe.

I chose a main Stampotique image for each tag which I stamped in black stazon.  All the background images are Stampotique, but were stamped by swiping the ink pad across the rubber to create a second image stamping, so it wasn't as dark and prominent as the main image.

Each tag was mounted onto a strip of black card, cut out and edged with white posca pen dashes.  One element of each tag was also outlined with the pen. Diva, top right tag 1, welcome tag 2, bee below the mushrooms tag 3 and finally the wording on tag 4.

I love to do plain and simple but in a grungy style. I have quite a collection of Stampotique stamps now as they are so fun and funky and mix and match not only with themselves but lots of other products.

One of the reasons I'd love to be on the team is because you get to choose which images you want to work with.  One size doesn't fit all, but if you're working with something you're comfortable with you get the best out of people.

There are 2 teams to be picked but unfortunately I can only enter for one of them as for the second you need to have a FB account, which I don't /can't have.  The teams are to be announced on 15 October, wish me luck!!

Love this quartet of tags Sam. As you know green is my favourite colour too so these appeal to me anyway. Having looked at them in closeup I think the stamping is fab and love the images you've used.

Good luck with the DT call!
