Oriental Journal Page

Added some oriental newsprint, some washi tape and some gesso to the page. Once dry coloured it with yellow submarine, tango and blood orange freso paints, love these because all the colours are translucent so you can still see the print and washi underneath.

Stamped the main images onto tissue paper, cut them out and used DecoArt ultra matte varnish to adhere them to the page, love this as it not only acts as a glue but has no shimmer whatsoever, it's perfectly matte.

The other stamping is done with black gesso which has given a lovely crisp black image.

After taking the photo I though that the main images looked lost on the page, so out came the black sharpie pen.

And the dragon, love how this has come out. Orange flicker DecoArt metallic lustre was rubbed over the gesso'd parts to hi-light the texture, you can just see the shimmer to the right here.

And one of my favourite images of all time by Lynne Perrella.

LOVING the DecoArt Metallic Lustres Sam, have a lot of the colours now, they are so rich and fantastic when watered down, so glad i got the Orange Flicker, used it today on a project and really like the finish it gives.

Gorgeous page and some great stamps :-) xxx
