A Weekend at Lins - Day 2 - Part 1

So after a lovely cooked breakfast at the Spicy (Super) Sausage, we were all set again for another fantastic day of playing and dabbling.

Lin had prepared lots of fabulous things for us to play with.

Mostly tag based, but everyone was invited to bring their own journals too, if you have one of course!!

Firstly we were let lose with the Prima Colour Bloom sprays in an array of colours. These 2 were just spritzed and flicked with water.

Left one is amazing, sprayed lots and lots and then stamped into to take away the colour. Left is spritzed and then the colour sprayed onto a craft mat, stamp put in the colour and then stamped onto the tag.

Left is sprayed over a piece of material and the gold dots shine through, and left is a 2 colour combo to create a rust effect - gorgeous.

Then we played with the Luminarte Silks - lush and fantastic colours, so smooth and silky.

Used different mediums to cover the tags to see how each reacted. I used olive green and ginger peach.

Left is based coated in amber honey and chestnut brown tickled around the edges. Right is patterned paper, stamped with an inked image and coloured in in greens and browns directly from the pot. The background is colour washed in the amber honey.

Another doggie play was needed before the gelatos came out, and she asked so nicely!!

Top one gelatos scribbled across the tag then spritzed for drippage, bottom one was a couple of colours blended.

Top one, gelatos removed with a babywipe and bottom one gelatos over white heat embossing and additional stamping.

Close up of the removal, which leaves a tint of the original colour.

Close up of the white heated embossing powder and the gelatos.

And for the final play of the morning we used Derwent inktense watercolour pencils to outline a grunge pasted image through a stencil.

We then broke of for some lunch.

I knew you'd remember exactly which tag was what... I was struggling this morning! Your tags look great. Can't wait for a reminder of the afternoon's play - I just wish I could get going today, I think I'm all crafted out!

I loved doing all these tags even if I didn't get them finished at Lin's. I can't wait to do more to them. You got wonderful results on all yours & you managed to take fab pics too!
