Abstract Tag
Over at the PA blog there is a new designer this week, Ellen Vargo. She made an abstract tag using a brayer to apply the paint and create the background, to see what she did check out the blog here. I pretty much followed what she did using guacamole, limelight, hey pesto and south pacific paints and the TH burlap layered stencil.
I added alphabet letters in vanilla fresco. I used wow powder to edge the tag and sectioned it off using my white posca pen. Aquamarine treasure gold and finally the images and words.
I think I put a bit too much GP on the tag as it covers up too much of the background, so may try this again with less stencilling!!

I really loved Ellen's tag, and am looking forward to digging out my brayer! Yours is a great version - love the pop of the GP against your fab background.
stabbing in the dark here , all the writing on your blog is still virtually invisible, so i can never leave comments, but happened to spot ink with mouse accidentally! Woop. I'ts like getting IN to alcatraz!!!

This is absolutely beautiful. Great images and colours. Especially I have focused on stamping of the LP's lady, It's a beautiful blurry. xx
Love your brayered background! So glad you decided to try it... great job!
I love this tag Sam the texture and depth is really effective. That is a great stencil is it one of TH? It works really well. Great choice of colours and I love how you have used red especially on the embellishment at the bottom. Great, really love it a lot xxx
Interesting tag Sam and I love the addition of the bright oriental bit at the bottom.
Love Chrissie x
Lots going on, great colours, like the red round the edge really brings the green alive :-) xxx
Fantastic!!! I forgot to do the grunge paste layer! Lol! xxx
I love the Oriental take on this, Sam. That LP image works really well with the techniques you've used here. Julie Ann xx
Really love the white texture over that zingy lime background - yum!

Fab tag Sam, not too much stenciling - it looks great!
It's hard for me to keep up with you Sam -- one would think I have never been here at all. The colors with the white texture is stunning!
