Just Dreaming

Over on the PA blog Gillian has made a guest appearance between her studying and exams, so I thought it only right to support her. I pretty much followed what she did which you can see here, I just used different substrates, stencils and stamped images.

Helen kindly sent me some die cut petal drops by Tim Holtz and I thought one would work perfect on this tag. So I added GP through a stencil, painted the petal orange, added some stamping and rubbed over the textured areas in ruby treasure gold.

I stamped a couple of the LP oriental images onto yellow painted card and cut them out.

And this is the whole tag put together. I stamped the words just dreaming as I felt it needed something at the bottom to balance it out.

Close up of the textured areas with the treasure gold to enhance them.

Over at Our Creative Corner they have a theme of flaming June where orange has to be a dominant colour.

That's Crafty have a theme of it's all about the texture and you have to use texture paste (in this instance, grunge paste, same thing).

ABAC have a theme of Summer lovin, and thought the bright colours reminded me of summer.

Lovely take on Gillian's inspiration piece. I really wanted to have a go at this one too but ran out of time after my problems with paint/ink v heat, lol! Love the white splatters.

So creative Sam and I love the grunge paste on the background. Your colours work so well together too - clearly you can 'do' orange!! You must have loads of patience to do all that cutting - rather you than me.
Thanks for joining in the challenge at OCC this month.
Hope you are well.
