Two Forks Plaque

Two ordinary kitchen forks, put on the gas to heat and then bent with pliers.

This is a third of an A3 clipboard with the metal clip removed.

I stencilled over with easy structure and then gave everything a coat of black powertex.

Then I took some bits and bobs out from the resin, wood and metals containers and arranged them to how I like them.

Once I'd sorted out the layout I used black powertex to glue them down.

Then I coloured it using treasure gold, alchemy waxes and pigments and varnish.

Second Altered Brandy Liqueur Bottle

The second of the lovely square brandy liqueur bottles.

I painted it in black powertex and then used clear crackle paste over two opposite sides and left it over night to do its thing.

Then I painted it in metallic rust Lumiere paint.

I rubbed over the crackled panels with umbra antiquing paste.

Painted and stuck on the embellishments with black powertex.

And the same on the other side.

And the view from the top.

Then I painted them with metallic paints and also used metallic waxes.

And the same process for the front.

And finally a view from the top.

Altered Brandy Liqueur Bottle

This is a lovely square bottle with a heavy base.

De-labelled and painted with black powertex and then on two opposite sides a layer of fibre paste.

Added some resin and wooden embellishments, glued them on with the powertex.

And the opposite side.

I rubbed umbra antiquing paste over a layer of graphite - shabby velour and I think it looks fab.

I painted the other sides with metallic silver Lumiere paint and also added some peacock alchemy wax.

Then I painted the embellishments and tried to make them look rusty.

And this is the other side.

And finally the view from the top.

Clipboard Plaque

I removed the metal clip and then cut the A3 clipboard into quarters.

I used some easy structure through a stencil and once dry gave it all a coat of black powertex.

Used fast cast resin in some new to me stencils.

Next, I built up a composition using resin and wooden embellishments, stuck them down and painted them with black powertex.

Just to give some idea of the depth.

And this morning I added some colour.

Love all that detail in the dragonfly.

Altered Southern Comfort Bottle

Empty Southern Comfort bottle.

Using the stone art clay I carefully peeled out the very large cog and moulded it onto the bottle and left it to dry as I wanted it to hug the bottle.

Laid wooden, resin and metal embellishments out until I liked what I'd done.

Stuck and painted all the embellishments with black powertex.

Then I went a bit mad with the colours.

Altered Canti Bottle

This bottle is really heavy even though it's empty.

Firstly I gave the bottle a coat of black powertex and once dry I coloured it with Pentart Deluxe Paste in the colour truffle.

I wanted the frame to curve around the bottle, so I mixed up a batch of clay using stoneart and powertex and used it in the Finn mould. I pulled it out very carefully and gently moulded it onto the bottle.  I left it there to harden.

I played around with some resin, metal and wooden embellishments until I created a layout that I liked.

Then I stuck everything on and painted everything in black powertex.

Once dry I painted everything in metallic paints.

Altered Bombay Bramble Gin Bottle

Started off with an empty Bombay Bramble Gin bottle.

Painted in black powertex.

Added some resin and wooden embellishments.

Painted everything in black powertex.

Used oxynite treasure gold on the bottle.

And olive gold on the embellishments.

I really like the crown and flourishes embossed on the glass, which is why I didn't want to cover them up, but make them a feature instead.
