Sand Paper meets Artbars

Over at the PaperArtsy blog the guest designer has been sharing more techniques, this time using sand paper and pastels.  You can find the full instructions here.  I used Artbars as I don't have the portfolio pastels. I used green(A18), turquoise (A15) and cyan (A13).

This is a close up after having used the sand paper, but I only had 1 grade which was fine, probably could of done with a bit more ruffage!!!  Don't even know if you can see it very well.

I used the stencil bump technique on the background, stamped some script from the PA Ink and the dog background #2 plate and used the main images off the LP collection 005 plate.  The crunchy waxed kraft paper has been coated in treasure gold, aquamarine, sapphire, olive bronze and a bit of onyxite thrown in too and attached with T!m's tiny attacher.  Fibres added to finish.

Hi I'm Sam, 42, birthday in October - Any piece of art gratefully rec'd - Thanks. OH, Martin, been together 23 years and still no plans to get married!!! We love spending time with our pupster, especially when the weather is dry and we get to take him to the woods. I love any sort of crafting and would say that I am adventurous with new materials. We love going skiing in any winter resort, but mainly the States or Canada, they have better snow!! We lost our first beardie, Max, August 2006 at a ripe old age of 14 and 1/4. Since then Frazzie has come along, he is now 5 years and 10 months old and is still a little Bugger, Bugger!!! Unfortunately in December 2008 we lost Alfie at 14 months old after only having a short time of 7 weeks loving and caring for him. He found a good buddie in Fraz and loved him to bits.
