RIP Tombstone (2)

I painted a few resin pieces in black.

I added some fibre paste onto the board at the top, then some halloween fabric underneath and lower down.

Glued everything down and waited for it to dry, whilst I worked on the bottom shelf.

Then I put it all together.

I used mini light bulbs in the eye sockets.

The treasure gold has brought out the texture at the top from the fibre paste.

This is for sale on my website here.

RIP Tombstone

I had an upright mdf plaque from That's Crafty. I painted the front of the plaque with black powertex and added in small sand balls to create some texture. Then added the resin pieces and the three die cut letters. I dry brushed with white and silver.

I made some mini books by putting a piece of card around a square of corrugated cardboard.

I filled some small bottles up with beads and added a sticker and some string to some of them. I added some black to them and the paper flowers.

This is the base of the upright, I coloured a piece of cotton scrim with black spray  paint and glued it on.

Once dry, I placed the upright back in the slots and arranged the embellishments along the bottom.

When I was happy with the placement I glued them down.

Close up of the dry brushing.

And finally I added gems to the eye sockets.

Spooky House inspired by Finnibair

I came across a youtube video by Finnibair which I really liked, so I thought I'd give it a go with my own variations of course!

I used a Finnibair stencil with texture paste and sand and also some crackle paste in areas.

Once dry, I painted it with black powertex.

Next I pulled out some die cuts, metal pieces and some clay pieces to decorate with.

Next I laid out a bit of a plan.

This is a T!m die of the spooky house which I added crackle paste to.

Painted the spooky house in black powertex and re-arranged the elements.

I used the powertex to 'glue' down the pieces and then covered everything again.

Then I used metallic paints, pigments and interference paints / pigments to colour everything.

And here it is in the sun.

Be Happy - Dance

Had a play this morning with a new to me skeleton stencil and an mdf upright. Painted the background white, then stenciled over in black, had to do a bit of touching up as some seeped through, but it was fine. Stenciled black modeling paste through another stencil for the be happy words and stamped the dance in black stazon.

Painted the base black and using white modeling paste ran through a script stencil.

I stamped over the top and bottom panels so it didn't look so bare.

Being as the uprights are from That's Crafty I'm entering into their anything goes challenge.
