Pen / Paint Pots

As my last two pen / paint pots sold so quick, I decided to make a couple more.

I used iridescent pigments on this one.

I went for a purple and a blue.

I added lots of little resin embellishment shapes.

For this one I used the Finnabair sparks paint.

Love how it looks on the black, it's got shades of greens and turquoises.

Again more small resin embellishments added.

They look great together.

They will be up for sale in my online shop.

A couple more pen / paint pots

I wrapped a couple of coffee tins in t-shirt fabric and glued on the resin embellishments with the wet powertex.

I used the blue sparks paint to decorate this pot.

It really does bring out the textures.

And this is the front with the main features.

I dry brushed this tin with silver and black finnabair jewel paste.

I used small cogs and faces on this one.

And from another view.

And the front with the skull and wings.

These are for sale in my online shop.

Paint Pots & Cats

Finished a couple of coffee tins which I've changed into paint / pen pots.

And the other sides.

Added the resin and metal pieces.

I used bronze powertex.

Made a couple of cats using bottles and polystyrene ball.

I coloured them with gold and silver powertex pigments and the varnish, added some metallic buttons and made them each a pair of specs.

More Pen / Paint Pots

Yes, we've emptied two more coffee tins!

I decided to use some scraps of linen fabric as it has a nice texture. I also pulled out some resin and clay pieces to decorate with.

Once I'd covered the linen in powertex and put it on the tins I added the embellishments.

I accidently picked up the bronze but I really wanted to use the black, so I have one of each.

Then I went back in with the powertex and painted over all of the embellishments and as you can see, they cover pretty well even though some are resin.

Then I dry brushed the fabric on the tins and it didn't matter if I got some on the embellishments as I'm going to paint them in different colours.

I used a combination of silver and peacock on the dark pot.

And purples, pinks and red on the brown pot with the flowers.

Up-cycled Pen / Paintbrush Pots

Mine is the decaf one!

Added some masking tape to help the fabric stick.

Covered it in T-shirt fabric making as many ruffles as I could.

Then I added some resin and clay pieces.

Same for this one except I used flowers, butterflies, toadstools and leaves.

Made sure everything was totally covered in powertex and left to dry.

Coloured this one up with interference paints, treasure gold and alchemy waxes.

Added some paint brushes for the effect.

And for this one I used black paint with silver and silver treasure gold for the resin / clay pieces.

And I added pens to this pot, again just for the effect.
