Atc's

Today I had an urge to re-visit my neglected distress inks.

I just took a few colours of distress inks, covered the atcs and flicked some water on them.

This one has a piece of embossed acetate over the top of the stamped Teesha Moore image which has been outlined with a smudgy pencil.

Again more acetate, this time attached with brads and the edges of the acetate coloured with moss pearl DecoArts dazzling metallics.

I stamped this image directly onto the atc and was going to re-stamp it and cut it out without all the fiddly hat pieces, but I quite liked how it looked so I went with it and outlined some of the image with a white posca pen.

And finally very simply just an image stamped directly onto the atc, words stamped and cut from white card.

Journal Page for PA Challenge

Over on the PA blog they have a theme of gels and mediums. Lin Brown did a fab video incorporating Lindys Stampgang sprays and golden gloss medium. I didn't have either of these, so had to improvise. I used DA clear crackle paste through a diamond stencil onto the crunchy wax paper.

And did exactly the same on a journal page which already had some black paint on it.

As I've said, not got any of the sprays, or so I though, I found this Lindys smoky sapphire one in my stash and chose a Dylusions with mica in it.

This has had two coats of each colour, allowing drying in-between coats.

And exactly the same process on the journal page.

Then I tickled the raised areas with pewter treasure gold.

And the same for the crunchy waxed paper.

So I then went on to create this page, using some of the crunchy waxed paper at the bottom of the collage.

It's not actually as dark as it looks, but it is outside!

Birthday Card

It's my nephews birthday in October, so I used the other half of the accordion die cuts that Chris kindly sent me to make this card for him.

As it was going somewhere I decorated the back of this one too.

Close up of the script stamping in black and white on the back of the card.

A Stitch in Time

No actual sewing on this key ring, but has a sewing theme to fit in with this weeks challenge over at Artful Times, so I hope it counts!

Wooden spool used as the body, PA word stamp, altered fabric stamped onto a piece of fabric and adhered round the middle of the reel. Sewing pattern stamped onto shrink plastic, shrunk and edged in gold leaf.

Safety pin and zipper embellishments added along with the woolen fibers.

Oriental Tag Trio

Over at Tag Along they are asking to see bright sunny colours this week. I happened to have a lovely gelli print in reds, oranges, and yellows. I cut size #8 tags out and managed to get 3 out of the page.

Stamped all the oriental images in archival and mounted them onto a piece of scored black card. The rain stopped and sun came out so I was able to get a photo outside.

Kraft Envelope Gift Pouch

I used T!m's pocket envelope die to create this little gift pouch from kraft card and a bit of stamping.

And this is the back continuing with the Ellen Vargo scratchy rectangle stamp in timber brown stazon and the LP script in blaze red.

I'm entering again into the That's Crafty Challenge with my kraft card.

ATB

Over at Simon Says Wednesday they have a challenge of die crazy, so I decided I wanted to make an altered trading box (ATB).

I coloured the outside of the box purple and stamped a PA mini script in black stazon.

I coloured the inside panels in lime green and stamped the EV scratchy rectangle in cactus green stazon.

I stamped various images from the PA Ink and Dog wings plates onto the panels in black stazon.

I stamped the flourish and post marks in olive green stazon.

And added some of the frameworks die cuts in black and green card.

And some feet using the wooden sudoko tiles and colouring with a black marker.

And a cut out butterfly from TH crowded attic patterned papers for the top.

I'm also entering into Fashionable Stamping challenges this week as Alison (aka Butterfly) has chosen a theme of a 3d object.

Tag Flip Book

Over on the PA blog Ellen Vargo is back with a tag flip book which you can see here. I pretty much followed what Ellen did.

And the other side of the size #10 background tags.

Cut the tissue paper into strips and adhered to the tags and added decoration with stamps and white and black pens.

And the other sides.

Then I cut 6 smaller tags, coloured them in distress inks and stamped them lightly to create a background.

Well you knew what was coming next didn't ya, yep, my LP oriental stamps.

I then mounted the smaller tags onto the larger background tags.

And the other sides.

I fixed the tags together with eyelets.

And this is the book put together and stood up.

Altered Tin

Over on the PA blog it's a new semester, which means a new set of designers and first up is Liesbeth Fidder who altered a tin which you can see here. First thing needed was a bonfire, so off Martin went and stoked up the chimnea.

He put the cigar tin the chimnea and the burning process began.

Charring nicely!!

These are the tins after they have cooled down.

For the inside pages I burnt them with lemon juice.

Then I decorated the tin, this is the front.

The inside using the burnt lemon juice pages, LP and PA stamped images and metal embellishments.

And I wanted to keep the back quite plain to expose most of the fab colouring on the tin.
