Donny Dome Show

Look who I caught up with today after a do or die situation to get there!! It's a long story but I went by train which was actually a bus, Linda & Chris very kindly called in at the train station to pick me up and Lesley very kindly brought me home again. So from L-R we have Jo, Hazel, Lesley, Linda, Chris and Jules.

And Leandra demo-ing on the PA stand and Hugo getting some tips.

Had a lovely day guys and was great to catch up. Thanks to Hazel and Lesley for my cards and to Lin and Chris for the lovely goodie bag.

Oh and just in case you were wondering, I didn't buy anything as I am going up to Glasgow at the weekend for the SECC show.

Doncaster Dome

Found Lesley and Linda's gang and hubby at their normal drinking spot. Fantastic to meet up with everyone again.

This is Claire's mum, Claire, Hazel and Lesley. I've not met Claire before IRL but spoken to her loads on twitter, great to finally meet you Claire and great to see Hazel too.

This is Tracey of Oyster Stamps demoing the fabulous brushos for honeydoo crafts.  She was stamping with them and putting them through stencils with some fantastic effects.

This is Linda contemplating if she actually needed them or not, she was very good and restrained from purchasing - lol.

Lesley, me and Hazel, just to prove I was actually there, with the PA stand behind us.

And finally just before Linda and co were about to leave after not winning a raffle prize, I snipped this photo as Darcy was walking past and Lelsey had joined us.

Now the lovely Lin and Chris were also there but for some unknown reason I didn't snap a photo of them, sorry ladies, I do apologise, but I'll get you next time xx

And I was very good, this is all I bought, a few bits from the MDF man, a TH stencil and some cut n dry. I actually wanted some thicker red liner tape and some 6" or 7" white square cards without envelopes, but didn't manage to get either!!!

Donny Dome Craft Show

For anyone who's not been before, the show is held in one of the huge rooms in the leisure complex called The Dome. If you can make out the huge rock to the right, it's actually situated in the middle of an outdoor swimming pool.

I headed straight over to the PA stand where Darcy and Emma were demoing with Linda, Lesley and Hazel watching with intent, I was actually looking for Emma as she wasn't at our rendezvous point!

Then I caught up with her after her good samaritan act for the day. A motorcyclist came off his bike a couple of cars in front of her, so her being a nurse, put herself in danger sitting in the fast lane on the A1 keeping his head stable until the paramedics arrived, hence the reason she arrived late.

She was then in need of a sugar rush, so the lovely Linda got the cup cakes out. Look at all that pink!!!!

We headed back over to the PA stand where we found Christine and Linda. Gillian and Darcy joined us for a quick photo.

It didn't seem to be as busy as previous times, although there were a few peeps taking the weight off their feet.

But the isles were a bit sparse.

Emma took a well earned break so Gillian popped on to do a bit of demoing with Darcy.

And I managed to get a smile out of her after being told to go away a fair few times - hehehehe!!!

And Darcy on the other side.

Then we caught Mark having a crafty pink cup cake made by the lovely Linda.

I nipped off to get some stamps from Clarity and when I got back Emma was chatting to these two nutters (in the nicest possible way!!!) Apparently she did know them - hehehehe!!

Darcy taking a well earned rest and Hazel came over to say bye, so grabbed a quick photo of them both.

Then Christine and Linda came over to say bye too and Lesley had joined Emma and myself for a sit down and a drink.

And finally, the stash - 12 x 12 stencils

6 x 6 and 4 x 4 stencils

Paper Pad, Hero Arts stamps, idea-ology arrows and memory frames

PA newly sourced tissue paper, plain and script, prima findings and my go to glue, red liner tape

And lastly 4 more 6 x 6 masks.

Thanks to all for a wonderful day and it was great to catch up with everyone again.

Gifts for Donny Dome

Set off for Donny Dome this morning armed with gift boxes, as I'll be meeting up with quite a few #PATwits

These are some of the gifts inside the boxes, notelets with matching envies and a mini note book.

This is a different style of mini book, with a flap over.

This is the back, I used a stencil over a gelli page print.

Book opened out and you can see the flap, this is for Emma.

I saw this and bought it for Linda, as she brings home made cup cakes to the show for us all.

The stamp is red rubber and mounted.

And a lovely little paper bag to take it home in!!

Craft Show at the Dome

Okay so it was the StampMagic show at Doncaster Dome today and it was great to see PaperArtsy there again. This time Leandra had Darcy demo-ing with her. The intention was for Darcy to be demo-ing her new Christmas stamps, but unfortunately they weren't able to be cut in time!!

This is Glamgran (aka Linda or the cupcake lady!!) and Jax having a sit down and a natter.

Linda made cupcakes for the occasion laced with loads of icing and they assured me, edible glitter!! Emma had a pink one, no surprise there then and I had a chocolate orange one, yummy!! Yeah you'll notice the PINK and orange tag, this is what Leandra made for my burfday tomorrow, but I had to show it to Jax & Linda.

Gillian came down from Scotland to join the party and help out on the PA stand. Here she is watching Darcy to make sure she does it right - lol!!

And Leandra with the zapper, drying off the frescos.

This is a glimpse of the inside pages of Darcy's denim book.

New Prima stash on the PA stand.

This is as close as I got to the pink crocheted flowers!!!

And Gillian doing what she does best - tweeting!!

Mark wearing those keys out on the till!!!

Now Leandra was demo-ing with Grunge Paste here, not much point though really - hehehehehe!!!

Me and my mate Sue (aka sue the iron). No I don't look pale, she's just come back from a holiday in the sun!!

Gillian, Emma and me!!

Linda and Jax hanging around the PA stand (again!!)

We went out to the cafe for a coffee and some lunch and spied Lesley on the next table marking off all her purchases so she didn't get any doubles when she went back in!!!

Gillian had taken over from Leandra for a while as she was seconded elsewhere!!

Ermmmm.......'ow does this work then? Mark, where are you!!!! Luckily the lady decided to pay cash so she was okay!!  The thought of a CC transaction scared her!!!

Gillian making a postcard for Emma.

And finally a photo of the #PATwits. Front row - Darcy, Gillian and Jax.  Row 2 - Sam, Emma, Leandra, Lesley and Hazel.  Photo taken by Mark - thank you.

Now the stash, firstly from the MDF man whom I cleared out of cogs!! More pen boxes and some ovalish plaques.

My controversial wooden stamps which nearly didn't make it.  The buggers, they only went and put them out on display for people to buy!!  A pack of wooden borders.

EZ mount to put the 2 Ink and the Dog stamps sets on. These were on offer so it;d of been rude not to get any!! Yeah, I know, bottom right, flowers, but they are grungy flowers and won't look like flowers when I've done with them.  And Prima metal words on the left.

4 of the new colours of fresco paint, including the yellow sub and tango I used at the LB weekend.  The other 2 items are packs of resist sticky fabric which you can spray, paint, ink, tear and layer up.  Emma told me I needed it!!

And finally a purple ink pad which Emma bought for me, some wired raffia, PA cotton lace which takes the fresco paints fab, a black and a white wow embossing powder and some white sticky dots.

Sorry the post was so long but I wanted to share with you what a great day we all had and to top it off Emma and I went to the BeefEater pub over the other side of the lake for a meal for my birthday tomorrow.
