Remember When .....

I came across this oval piece of wood whilst looking for something else!!  I gave it a coat of mushroom fresco paint, randomly spread on crackle paste, the added a mix of nougat and Irish cream for the top coat.

And somehow ended up with this!!!

Don't worry, you've not come to the wrong blog!!  I was inspired by Minxy aka Nicky with her new shabby chic projects when I was making!!!

I used watered down antique linen, spun sugar and seedless preserve distress stains to colour the strip of net curtain that I cut off for the frill around the edge!!

The hearts, leaves and butterfly are made from moulds using paper clay kindly given to me by Pink Sparkle Days aka Emma.  They have been coloured with distress ink markers.

I'd like to enter into the following challenges,
Ali-Craft - butterflies
Hobby House - vintage
Our Creative Corner - captured memories
Altered Eclectics - anything goes

Little Man

I started off with a wooden plaque, painted it with French roast fresco paint, followed by a random layer of crackle glaze and then a layer of stone, sanded it back and added more French roast.

And it evolved into this!!

Over at Hobby House their theme for July is 'vintage' and if you use products sold by them, you are in with a chance of being picked for their top 3.  The gems are Hobby House pearls from the wedding day selection.

Alison has also informed me that I can join in with Our Creative Corner challenge this month too which carries the theme of 'captured memories', where the project must include a photo.

Oriental Minitures

A size #10 tag in black, coloured the size #8 tag with blood orange fresco paint and stamped it randomly with the oriental scrip from the Ink and the Dog Asian plate.  The centre piece is an LP image on shrink plastic, housed in a paper clay frame mould, kindly given to me by Emma.  That paper clay is really weird stuff before it's set, it feels like chewing gum!!
