Altered CD Swap

Over on Mini Marvels FB group there is an altered cd challenge for October. There is also the option of a swap.

Chose some patterned backing paper and glued it to the cd.

Cut around the cd, this is the back.

And this is the front.

Next I edged the cd with black rik rac, added some French themed embossed die cuts and a black rose.

I decided it needed a little something else, so added some white gems around the edge.

To hide the attached piece of rik rac for the hanger, I cut a circle of striped paper and glued it to the back of the cd.

PaperArtsy have a theme of die cuts this time around, so I'm entering my altered cd.

Framed in Pasta

I cut a circle of card by drawing round a bowl. I cut the middle out and glued a layer of raw pasta pieces all the way around the ring.  Once dry I added another layer over the top.  When that was dry I painted it with green patina eco-friendly paint.  I selected an image for the middle, a piece of ribbon to hang and attached everything to a cd for stability.

Lotstodo Week 6 Challenge

Well the challenge this week on Lotstodo was to alter a cd. So I thought I'd incorporate an embossed piece which I made earlier with my cuttlebug and also use some letters that I also cut with it. The letter plate was kindly sent to me by a friend who no longer used it. I also used 3 flowers that I'd made ages ago using my melt pot and perfect pearls - don't worry, I haven't lost the plot. This is my one and only flower piece for this year, oh, apart from my mums birthday card, and that's only because she absolutely loves flowers!!!!!

Lotstodo Week 2 Challenge

This is my item for the Lotstodo Week 2 challenge. The theme was 'A Matter of Time'. I decided to make a wall hanging. It's made from 2 circular beer mats stuck together, covered in clock papers. For the image, I stamped it a couple of times in different stazon colours, rusty brown and timber brown, onto white card and inked with ancient page distressed inks. Both images have been cut out and the second image I just used the 2 strips with the writing on 'It's just a matter of time'. Glued a clock face over the stamped face on the image and added the decoupaged stickers at the bottom.

Had another stab at an altered cd. Pretty much the same technique as last time, just ripped up and stuck on scrap pieces of paper. This again is for a forum swap

Altered CD

I belong to various craft forums and readliy host challenges and swaps. The lastest is an altered cd swap. Funny how I came up with this one really. I was starring down at my scrap paper, decided to rip and tear it all, then stick it randomly on the back and front of the cd

This is my contribution - you decide if it works!!!
