Added patterned paper, a tassel from an earlier make, gems to the green one and a bulb shaped safety pin to attach with.

I had to have another go with the correct colour of embossing powder.

Just added a chipboard quote to finish it off.

Masquerade MDF Tag

Unfortunately I picked up the wrong tub of embossing powder but didn't realise until I started to heat it.

So I stamped it and embossed it again in bright white.  I then rubbered over the image with silver treasure gold.

Added some fibre and a word.  Not ideal, but at least you can see the image now.

Embossed Tag

Revisited my embossing powders for this one. Went mad as everything is embossed.

Atc's

Made a handful of Atcs this morning, I think I was half inspired byBecky and half by Chris. Becky for the atc's and Chris for the tag she did at a make and take on Saturday.

The background for these ones are earthy colours of pan pastel. I sealed them with DecoArt matte spray before I stamped on them. I dug down deep and found my box of wooden stamps that I've not used for a while, it was great to get them out again.

The two purply / blue backgrounds are again pan pastels and the one on the right is gelatos. The images are all stamped in versamark and heat embossed with WOW embossing powders.

And finally, these backgrounds are all gelatos and all the images have again been stamped in versamark and heat embossed with WOW powders.

Atc's with Bling!!!

I covered a piece of card with sticky silver foil, cut it into ATC sized pieces and embossed each one with a different folder.

Swiped them with versa mark and added embossing powders. Heated them again and added some schizel otherwise known as foil!

Then I made a huge mistake!!! Instead of swiping a permanent ink over the top, ie archival or stazon, for reasons unknown to me, I used versa fine ink, which just would not dry!!

I couldn't use the heat tool to dry the ink as it would remelt the powders! So I sprayed them with matte varish and then swished over them again with black stazon ink! I finally chose some images and words, but didn't want to cover up too much of the backgrounds.

Bright Tags & T!m Stamps

Background was created with a purple, green, yellow and blue Decoart multi surface satin paints and then I cut the piece of card in half to make two tags. Stamped the dragonfly in versamark ink and heat embossed it with fine black wow powders. The rest of the T!m images were stamped in black stazon. 

The dragonfly on this one was heat embossed with blue wow powders and then re-heated and fragment powders added in a mix of blue and gold. Again T!m stamps used to fill the rest of the space on the tag using black stazon.

Country View Crafts have a challenge this month of things with wings, so these tags will fit perfectly.

Birthday Cards

I was asked to make two 50th birthday cards and the only info I had was female, New York, Venice, Madrid, Las Vegas etc, so I lightly brayered DecoArt multi surface satin true blue and flamingo onto white card. Once dry, I took my TH ticket and Creative Expressions word stamp of place names, including New York and Madrid along with quite a few others and stamped in versamark and embossed with black embossing powder to create the background.

Next I stamped lots of Dina images onto different backgrounds of paper to see how I could use them and this is what I ended up with. The images are outlined in black pen.

And this is what I did for the second one, stamped another of Dina images several times on different backgrounds and played around with them.

The other part of the brief was to make them the same but with subtle differences, what do you think? The person who asked me to make them hasn't seen them yet, so no idea what she was expecting or if these hit the mark or not!!

PaperArtsy have a theme of typography, fonts and quotes this week, so I'm entering the cards.

Halloween Atc's

I started off with stamping the webs in versamark and heat embossing with black wow powder. I coloured them with pan pastels and sealed them with a spray matte varnish.

The pumpkin is a rub on, the cat is a die cut and the spider is a piece of chipboard.

The skull is a piece of chipboard and the bats are die cuts.

I have made them for an atc swap with the theme of Halloween and I'm also entering into this weeks That's Crafty challenge of Friday 13th part 2 as I also entered into part 1 earlier in the year.

Atc Swap - Resist

For my resist technique this time I used a candle and rubbed it over a piece of baking paper, scrunched it up, uncrumpled it, laid the atc over the baking paper wax side up, and ironed. Wasn't sure if anything would happen, but some of the wax transferred onto the card. I used ripe permission and mustard seed distress inks to colour the atc.

Then I stamped a new to me image which I picked up a couple of weeks ago, in black stazon and added a few washi tape images.

For technique #2, I gesso'd a wooden heart and added a thick layer of media clear crackle.

Once totally dry, covered with white antiquing cream which fell into the cracks and wiped the rest away.

I covered a piece of white card with black gesso, stamped a script image with versamark, added clear embossing powder and heated to create the resist.

Next I painted over it with DecoArt everlasting chalky finish paint and wiped away the access to reveal the embossed script.

Added a piece of washi tape along the bottom.

Then I attached the heart to the background.

I tried to capture this to show that the script is embossed and not just stamped on the background.

Oriental Surprise!!

I really wanted to try out my two new oriental stamps. The background text image was bought for me by my mate, Emma, and Lin kindly bought me the one of the figure. I painted the tag in the red Dylusions paint as I wanted it to be really bright. Stamped the background with versamark and heat embossed with black embossing powder. Stamped the image onto a separate piece of card and mounted it on black card. Added washi tape and fibres to finish it off.

Skulls on a Bottle

My second rescue of the day from the recycled bin 

Stripped of the stickers and covered all over in DecoArt black modelling paste and I used the pallet knife to create texture.

Once I'd covered the bottle, I had a huge problem, I loved it so much, I didn't want to cover it up!!

Painted a frame die cut in venetain gold dazzling metallics and the skull in silver sage. I stamped a mini PA script over the frame and black embossed it. Added the chain and the skull charm.

I wanted to bring out the texture so tickled the whole bottle with renaissance treasure gold. You can't really see it here due to the poor light, but it looks really good in real life.

And I left the back plain, although this is actually the front of the bottle and the gold circle you can see is the Bacardi badge which is engraved onto the bottle, so I left it as it was.

Pink & Black Atc's

We were challenged by Emma to make 2 atc's using just two colours. I was ribbed and ribbed about using pink, so I bit the bullet and went for pink and black. I also wanted to use some of my new to me stamps.

A Quick Tag

Just needed to have a quick play. Sprayed a tag with magenta media mister, dried it and then spritzed on the white shimmer.

Emma had bought me a Dina Wakley stamp plate which the words are from and Lin R had sent me lots of fab pieces of fabric with images on, which I machine stitched onto the tag.

Pan Pastel Backgrounds

More pan pastels with stencils and versa mark ink. Again this background was created just using the one colour.

Then I added some stamping in black archival. The main image, grungy silhouette is by Dina Wakley.

I used a mix of magenta, blue and purple for this background, but I put way too much purple on and it was really dark, so out came my new toy, the translucent blender and wow I was impressed, it really toned down the colour as you can see. Hearts are from a Dina Wakley set and grunge circles are by Hero Arts. The dots are sequin waste.

Then I simply added lonely girl, another stamp by Dina Wakley, in black versa fine ink.

I used the bamboo stencil on this background along with red, orange and yellow pan pastels.

I stamped the images in black versa fine, the main image is from a LP PA plate and the top two are my new wooden stamps picked up for half price at Port Sunny at the weekend.
