Wooden Blocks

Ang and Ann sent me some wooden blocks and I was intending to make buddies out of them, but they were too big. So instead, I covered them in gesso, lightly sanded them down, dipped them in UTEE, screwed some hooks in and attached the blocks together with jump rings. I punched some faces and put them inside bottle tops and have stuck them to one side of each block. I might make bodies for them and attach at a later date, I haven't decided yet!!!!

Those bottle tops and images have combined well. Neat idea joining the blocks up like that.

I love the idea of turning these into dolls. I saw some dolls on Antiques Roadshow with happy faces on one side and sad on the other, apparently they weren't very popular, you could revive the trend with your altered ones!!
