CAS Kraft Cards

PaperArtsy Minis stamp - JOFY Mini 38

I ordered this fabby brand new, just out PA mini by JoFY, it's #38 and I ordered it from Country View Crafts. I've used it to make some mini cards.

Over at Our Creative Corner this month, they have a tri colour challenge. Shades of brown, blue and purples and NO black allowed anywhere, so with that in mind I set to making these CAS cards. The image was coloured with faded jeans and seedless preserve distress markers and spritzed to give a water colour effect. The sentiment is from hero arts and stamped in royal purple stazon.

I used distress markers on the JoFY image and spritzed again but this time I pulled off 3 stampings, you can see the ghost images to the left and right of main image. I used seedless preserve, gathered twigs and salty ocean markers. I stamped the sentiment in royal purple stazon and mounted onto a piece of hessian and matted onto a piece of dark brown card.

I used the same colours as above to stamp the main image. The Hero Arts sentiment is stamped in dusky teal, one of the fresco paints in the new JoFY limted edition set. Salty ocean distress ink was used to edge the kraft card, gems and ric-rac added in brown.

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday has a theme of 'get krafty' ie using Kraft cardstock and these fit perfectly.

Thank you Sam for demonstrating perfectly with these how a limited colour palette can work so incredibly well (and black isn't always necessary!!) I love all of these and must now look at that stamp (oh, the bank balance :) Thanks so much for joining us at Our Creative Corner. Jenny x
