Oriental Configuration Boxes

One of my prizes from the Arty Inklings December challenge was a configuration box. Unfortunately the first parcel went astray, but Anita kindly sent me another package which arrived yesterday.

Two lots of the inside boxes are exactly the same size. So I painted them in haystack fresco paint and stamped LP images onto pre-cut canvas panels in black archival.

Attached the boxes together with a hinge and a couple of brads.

And at the front I attached a clasp.

And the tops.

And one side.

And the other side.

Artful Times have a theme of box clever this week.

Fabulous idea Sam. This is a great make. It looks as if you could do magic tricks with this box, as if it were part of an Oriental conjuror's props. Julie Ann xx
