Having had my gelli plate since just after Christmas, I decided to crack it open and have a play tonight.
Even though I really don't have the room, not just to put the prints somewhere to dry out,
but the main problem is having somewhere to put the painty things that I've pressed into the paint.
Ie stencils, bubble wrap, fun foam, wedges, cleaning off the brayer!!
Not to mention putting the paint out of reach - lol - live and learn!!
And stopping the lids off household items rolling all over with paint on them!!
I also decided to use some rubber stamps and of course they needed cleaning straight away!!
For these two I just used different sizes of lids to create the random circles.
Had great fun, and shall defo be doing some more prints!!

brilliant stuff...need to get mine out and actually use it!
looks great fun, but I'd be with you on the no space to play front, not sure where I'd put anything!! Do love your first prints though, they look great.
This all looks great, I especially love circles; but I had to laugh at the idea of all those painty things and the problem of where to put them! I don't have a gelli plate, but I seem to get into the situation of 'not enough' room in my little house all the time! I love what people do with gelli backgrounds but I'll have to think carefully about space before I invest. No doubt I'll be tweeting you Sam before I do! Julie Ann xxx
Great to see your first Gelli prints, not used mine yet so must use soon...
Can sympathise about lack of space etc it's a crafters universal problem!
Liking the circles & colours:-) x
ooh some good prints Sam. it is a messy way to play but so much fun glad you enjoyed your first. so great for many uses i love mine . reading your post made me want to play xxx
You sure got the hang of that quickly Sam. These backgrounds are amazing
Love Chrissie x
It's so addictive I end up with monoprints all over the place - good thing acrylic dries so quickly! Glad you are having fun with it.
bravo, c'est super!!!!
well you've definitely got the hang of that Sam!
Wow It's great play! Fab your gelli prints and looks fun. I'm planning to try to buy it, but I have never thought about the space of the room. OMB lol
Great prints. I hope I get to grips with it as quick as you did when I finally crack mine open !

Well done Sam! It's making space for all the stuff you can use that has so far stopped me having a play and I must have had my plate well over 6 months! Love the results you've achieved!
Hugs
