Treasure Gold Plaque Inspired by PA

Darcy is back again with project #2, to see what she made and how she made it click here.  I didn't need to make any storage so I decided to try out the treasure golds on a MDF Man plaque instead.  I wasn't quite sure what Darcy meant when she said she'd used the brush bath to make the TG go further, so I coated the plaque in the brush bath liquid and applied the 7 colours of TG with my finger.  This didn't seem to have any effect so then I dipped the brush in the liquid and painted it over the TG and it moved around!!!

I used black fresco paint to cover the edges and create a border.

And I knew I wanted to use some of the new stencils I picked up from Sincerely Yours show on Sunday.  So I simply sponged black paint through two of them and left it at that as I didn't want to cover too much of the background.

Looks great, have a watch of Leandras video on TG. Yu dip brush into the brush bath and then dip into TG, it makes it more liquid and much easier to spread around.

Makes a great metal-like background.

Love what you did, the black edge and stencil haave that fab Banksy silhoutte feel to them.
