Pieces of Yesterday

And finally my third Atc for the PaperPlay swap. Over at Fun with Atc's this week they have the theme of texture.  I used grunge paste through the rough diamond stencil and used lots of puff paint along the bottom edge.  Once dried and puffed I painted it firstly with stone and then vanilla fresco paints. I used French roast around the outside and used olive green treasure gold to further accent the diamonds and puff paint.

I stamped the background in timber brown stazon using a script image.  The image has been placed inside a flattened bottle top.  The lock is a Sizzix die cut coloured with pewter treasure gold and stamped with a different script in black stazon.  The words are cut from a sheet of sayings and mounted on kraft card.

I'm also entering this ATC into the Anything but a Card challenge.

Made it into the top 5 of ABAC challenge - see here.

Wow, this is completely gorgeous, Sam! I absolutely love the pale, delicate colours, and your grunge paste and puff paint combo gives the background real substance and life - fabulous antiquities and wording too! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Fun With ATCs.

My Photo
Hi I'm Sam, 43, birthday in October - Any piece of art gratefully rec'd - Thanks. OH, Martin, been together 23 years and still no plans to get married!!! We love spending time with our pupster, especially when the weather is dry and we get to take him to the woods. I love any sort of crafting and would say that I am adventurous with new materials. We love going skiing in any winter resort, but mainly the States or Canada, they have better snow!! We lost our first beardie, Max, August 2006 at a ripe old age of 14 and 1/4. Since then Frazzie has come along, he is now 6 years and 7 months old and is still a little Bugger, Bugger!!! Unfortunately in December 2008 we lost Alfie at 14 months old after only having a short time of 7 weeks loving and caring for him. He found a good buddie in Fraz and loved him to bits.
