A Weekend at Lins - Day 1

Meet Meg, Lin and Marks gorgeous adorable pooch.

The gang (Helen, Lesley, Emma, Karen and Lin) hard at work on our first days project, which was a fabulous mini book.

Lin was very brave letting us all into her home, but we did all behave - honestly!! And here is Emma carefully choosing her stamps.

Helen and Lesley pondering!!

Emma taking a break as her attention was needed elsewhere!!

Everyone back to it.

So this is what we made - a mini book. I used Lins new set of paint colours for my backgrounds and one of her stencils for the front.

LP images, Clarity word stamps and the clock is from a company called Technique Tuesday.

Stenciling in Antarctic.

More LP images, love how the leaves sprout out of the left image.

More stenciling on the patterned papers, lace and bling!!

And the back is evergreen fresco which is a gorgeous colour, with stenciling in antarctic.

These are the back and front covers, they weren't meant to be but I ended up with 2 lots of the same stenciling opposite each other, so I've re- assembled the pages and when I find the right quote or words, I'm going to put it on the front.

The lovely Lesley kindly bought me a Tim Holtz wooden stamp and the lovely Lin kindly bought me 4 bright Brusho to compliment the earthtones I already have.

As I'd finished my book, Lin B got her Brushos out for me to play with alongside my new ones and she also had some rock salt, which is the result of the above 2 tags. The right one was then placed in an embossing folder and coloured with treasure gold.

Close up of the rock salt.

And the embossed rock salt with the treasure gold.

These backgrounds I did by spraying a craft mat, shaking the Brusho onto the mat and swooshing the tag through.

These are more puddled efforts and left is stamped mainly with one of the new Sara Naumann stamp sets and the right is a LP stamp which is fast becoming a favourite of mine.

Embossed the tag first, spritzed it, added various colours of brush, let it drip and kept spritzing until I had full coverage. Raised areas coloured with renaissance treasure gold.

Meg, still wondering what on earth is going on and what are all these people doing in my house.

And to finish off a wonderful day, we all went out to Buddies for a lovely meal.

Great pics Sam! Meg is such a gorgeous dog! She must be so lonely (or peaceful!) today without us all getting in her way.

What a fabulous post Sam! Love the new paint colours (gotta have) and your Brusho tags are fantastic. You mad your mini book your own (fewer flowery bits, lol) but it still came out just as wonderful.

Meg really is an adorable dog and accepted us being there with such good grace, bless her! Just like Lin & Mark really, lol! It was such a fabulous weekend.
