Recycled Steampunk

I used an old dvd as the base of this hanging and covered it some papers I'd received in a swap.  Stamped images onto used brown envelopes, cut them out and glued them on.  The watch parts are obviously re-cycled along with the copper coil on the right out of Martins old camera. The silver bits are from a steel wool pad (these are not recycled as they were pinched before it was used - lol) and the string is also recycled.

Fab entry Sam. Love the bits of steel wool, lol, and I would never have though of dismantling an old camera. Grrr, I've chucked several away in my time. Did make OH save the old computer modem though and he took it to bits for me last week. Hope he saved the right bits 'cos he looked at me as if I were mad and I haven't checked yet. The three gents with their shiny top hats is a great image. Good luck with the challenge.

This is a unique piece of art, Sam! Very clever use of "repurposed" materials--especially those watch parts. They are just perfect with your quote about time! Love it!

Hi Sam, What a terrific piece! You married the elements together so well. Your art would be such a terrific spontaneous gift. Love where you "acquired" the elements from too!
