Oriental Window

Background shape is the cabinet die, cut in red card and chipboard.  The LP oriental image was stamped in versamark and covered in black embossing powder.  The window frame was cut from white card using my new tonic die.  The black die cut piece is from the Sizzix antique handles set and is hi-lighted with ruby treasure gold.  Fibres and a metal handle were added.  The black dots at the top are made using the ranger enamel accents.

Over at The Three Muses they have a challenge theme of red, black and white, but I'm not sure if they are just a digital challenge blog although in the blurp it does say that they welcome any art style, so I'm entering and will see what happens!!!

Hello, Sam, you are very welcome at the Three Muses. There is only one thing better than receiving a lovely piece of mixed media artwork and that is to also hear how it was created.

Thank you for sharing your lovey piece and I hope we see you again soon.

We're a blog for all media, Sam! We have some stampers, some mixed media folks, some fabric artists, and some digital. I like your Asian-themed art. Beautiful work! Thanks for participating in our challenge.

Love this dramatic looking design Sam. The border down the sides is really pretty and the black diecut piece is lovely.

ME

My Photo
Hi I'm Sam, 43, birthday in October - Any piece of art gratefully rec'd - Thanks. OH, Martin, been together 23 years and still no plans to get married!!! We love spending time with our pupster, especially when the weather is dry and we get to take him to the woods. I love any sort of crafting and would say that I am adventurous with new materials. We love going skiing in any winter resort, but mainly the States or Canada, they have better snow!! We lost our first beardie, Max, August 2006 at a ripe old age of 14 and 1/4. Since then Frazzie has come along, he is now 6 years and 7 months old and is still a little Bugger, Bugger!!! Unfortunately in December 2008 we lost Alfie at 14 months old after only having a short time of 7 weeks loving and caring for him. He found a good buddie in Fraz and loved him to bits.
