Enjoy Life

The lovely Lin Brown of Yours Artfully has been demo-ing at Colemans and one of the samples she showed on her blog really caught my eye.  I loved the background and the way she'd used the stamps, so after gaining permission from her, I've loosely based my tag background around it.

This is an mdf-man tag, base painted with mushroom, with a bit of squid ink added.  A layer of crackle glaze, coated with nougat.  It didn't crack as much as I wanted, but it was fine.

Stamped the PA mini scripts and splatters in archival ink. In the blank space I stamped the main LP image also in archival.

Hey pesto and beach hut were lighted added to the background, together with olive bronze and sapphire treasure gold.

I then added a couple of different types of tissue tape.

A very small mdf cog was painted in snowflake and the face of the same LP image was stamped on the cog, hey pesto and sapphire treasure gold were used to colour the outside edges of the cog.

Fibres were added to finish.

What a great tag, Sam - love how the background has so much interest to it, yet doesn't look at all OTT or cluttered. Perfect!!
