Over on the PA blog it's a new semester, which means a new set of designers and first up is Liesbeth Fidder who altered a tin which you can see here. First thing needed was a bonfire, so off Martin went and stoked up the chimnea.
He put the cigar tin the chimnea and the burning process began.

These are the tins after they have cooled down.
For the inside pages I burnt them with lemon juice.
Then I decorated the tin, this is the front.
The inside using the burnt lemon juice pages, LP and PA stamped images and metal embellishments.
And I wanted to keep the back quite plain to expose most of the fab colouring on the tin.

Wow, Sam, this looks terrific with Lynne Perrella stamps! I'd love to have a go at this technique, but I don't have a fire at home. Mmmn, maybe I should start one somewhere! Seriously, though, I think this calls for a bonfire when the rain stops! Julie Ann xxx

what great results.. the lace on the front is great, and I can see why you didn't want to completely cover the front. Now Lin's sent me one, I can play too... wonder where to start!

Gorgeous, love the burnt tins, and the LP stamps are perfect as decoration.
I'd have loved to have a go at this but have nowhere to have the necessary fire so probably a good job no time for crafting this week. Love the burnt lemon juice effect. Not actually heard of that technique but it looks wonderful.
