Framed UTEE

This one was made by pouring the coloured UTEE onto the craft mat and placing the heart cookie cutter into it in order to cut out the shape, a face with hair, and a turtle were added to embellish. I intend to put a photo behind the heart shape and set the piece onto mount board

Flexible Molds

All these pieces have been made from molds or novelty ice cube trays. I am hoping to make the pink and the blue circles made with a mini donut tray into jewellery items

Cookie Cutter Alphabets

These letters were cut from the coloured UTEE using a set of alphabet cookie cutters. I am hoping to use them on a card for my NVQ Assessor

Shrink Plastic

Here we have a leaft and a star both cut from shrink plastic, stamped on with black archival ink and then put in the melt pot to shrink. These 2 pieces turned out ok, but I'm not struck on this technique as it's very hard to get the pieces to lay flat once they are out of the pot!!! But I will keep trying!!!!

Making Faces with UTEE

These were great fun to make. The faces are made from molds. The backgrounds are pieces of cardboard dipped in the UTEE and the top 2 were stamped into using a pigment ink. The bottom one has 'hair' added to the face. You just drizzle the hot UTEE from the melt pot into a tub of cold water with the face floating in it upside down, it then attaches itself to the face and hey presto - you have hair!!!! Again, great fun

Melt Pot Buddies

Been playing this weekend and made some 'buddies' using my melt pot - YAY. Top left - body is made from 2 pieces of glass sandwiched together and sealed with coloured UTEE, head is a mold made from UTEE, arms and legs wooden beads. The other 3 bodies are all made from coloured UTEE. Each has been embellished and arms and legs have been added, heads are made from bottle tops, 2 have key ring chains attached. These were fun to make!!!

Ribbon Box Prize

Don't know if you will remember, but back in November when we all met at the NEC, Hilda gave us a ribbon box to alter which her son Graeme had made. The idea was for everyone to alter theirs, put a photo of their finished item in the forum photobucket and then he would pick a winner. Well they were all in just before christmas and Graeme picked mine out as the winner. So here are the prizes that Hilda kindly sent to me. 5 lovely ribbons on the spools, the spools ribbon holder (which Graeme made and I am going to distress / alter), some lovely brown suede flat cord. Hilda also got me a hearts ice cube tray from Ikea because they didn't have any left at the one Ang went to, again it will be used as a mould for my UTEE. Big thanks to all concerned.

New Year Tag from Ann-R

Thank you Ann for my lovely New Year tag xxxx

Ice Cube Trays

Ang picked these up from Ikea for me. When I get my melt pot sorted I am hoping to use them as moulds - great aren't they!!!!! Thanks again Ang

Good Luck Pages for Hilda

These are the pages that I made for Hilda. She is being interviewed for a place on Mastermind this month, so we all clubbed together and made her a GOOD LUCK book

Distressed Canvas

This is my third piece of distressed art for the swap I am hosting. Gel medium was applied to the canvases to give them a bit of texture, then when dry, orange and brown acrylic paint was applied with a piece of cut n dry foam. This was then touched up with black acrylic paint. I stamped a pocket watch on the top left and some writing on the top right using black stazon ink, embellished with various items to finish. Had to count on Martin to put the hinges on and he did a pretty good job coz it stands up straight on it's own!!!!!
