Steampunk House

Jill demoing with Karl in the background.

Some of the group watching Jill doing the demo.

Then everyone getting stuck in.

The roofs are on, time to start on the walls.

As usual, I went down a different avenue. Instead of a Christmas gingerbread house I went down the steampunk route.

And this is the back.

And this is the roof.

The end result dried and dry brushed in shades of blue and red with gold and copper metallic pigments.

And the other ladies putting pigments on their houses.

Down to the finer details. This lady had prepared her roof from dolls house tiles before she arrived to the workshop.

The lady sat opposite me didn't want to do a house so she did a plaque using a tile instead.

And these are some of the other Christmas houses that were created.

There is a hole in the bottom of each house to put either a battery operated tea light or a set of lights on a cord to light it up.

Had a lovely morning and it was great to get my hands dirty again!

I love this Sam, and it certainly looks like a fun day! I like that you can all do your own thing too. Have a great week - without snow hopefully! Sue xx
