Tag

I ran this tag through the big shot using the circle impressabilities embellishment template.  I coloured it with pinks and black in a variety of mediums.  I stamped the spiders web at the top in black soot and clear heat embossed it for more texture.  The tombstone, image and tag were all stamped onto separate pieces of card and again coloured with various mediums.  The RIP's are glossy accented.  The eyes are gem stones.  The tombstones and image are attached with silicone glue and the the tag is attached with a pink brad!!!

Alphabet Swap 4 x 4 - 'Z'

This is my Z page - Z is for Zombie.  Just got X to do then I've finished the whole alphabet. I stuck part of a bandage to the card and when dry painted it with silver metalic acrylic dabber paint.  I stamped the Zombie image and the tombstones onto card, coloured them with water coloured paints, distressed ink and eco-line inks and cut them out.  The RIP's are glossy accented. I stamped the quote and ripped it off the card.  Everything was attached with silicone glue.  The 'z' lines are made from 2 nails bound together with wire, mounted onto a piece of bandage and black card.

Stampotique Halloween Atc Set

I decided to make the most use of these stamps as I can whilst they are on loan.  I've recently joined in a halloween atc swap and thought these would fit the bill.  The images are obviously Stampotique, the tombstone RIP is Magnolia, the spiders and small web are Lavinia and the large web is Stampers Annonymous. I coloured them with water coloured paints, distressed inks and re-inkers, eco-line inks and alcohol inks.  Pretty much the same was used for the backgrounds. Gems and watch parts were added to some of the eyes!!! Glossy accents was used to raise the RIP letters, spiders and web. I used a paper distresser to distress some of the edges and inked with black soot.

Tags - Stampotique Style

The backgrounds are created with distressed inks, stamped with perfect medium and perfect pearls brushed over for a metalic look, don't think you can actually see it though, but it is there!!  Words were then stamped on to the tags.  The brown and green tag edges were distressed with a paper distresser, the blue one was edged in black ink. The images were stamped onto white card, coloured with eco-line inks, cut out and stuck on with silicone glue.  No Alison I haven't got round to buying any (yet), these were lent to me by a friend. I added fibres and ribbon to finish them off.

Handmade Tissue Fabric

Lottie very kindly sent me a bundle of goodies recently and in it were a few different napkins, so I decided to make some tissue fabric from them. (If you click on the link, go back a page to 33 and you will get full instructions on how to.) Unfortunately the photo doesn't do it justice, its lovely IRL. (It's actually much better if you enlarge it, just tried it!!)  Haven't decided what I'm going to do with it yet, but there is a swap going on on of the yahoo groups I belong to, so I might join in with it.

Atc's

The backgrounds for these atc's were created using Eco-line inks.  The hand on the yellow one was stamped with black soot and heat embossed with clear embossing powder, the background was stamped in fired red distress ink and Vermillion Laquer ink from the Nick Bantock range. Top right was stamped with saddle and timber brown stazon ink. The edges were distressed witha  paper distresser. The frame for the bottom one is a prima stamp and was stamped in black soot.  I masked the frame off and stamped the art journey image inside of it with olive green stazon.  I stamped the diamonds along the bottom added the metal embellishment with a brad and used diamond glaze over the journey letters at the top.

Theme Thursday - 3 Things

This week Theme Thursday is asking for '3 things'.  I made an atc and stamped the same image at different levels.  The background was made using Eco-line inks.  I distressed the edges with a paper distresser and inked them in black soot.  I added a sentiment and small gems to the butterfly.

My Time To Craft - Jewelled

My Time To Craft are looking for jewels this week. The background for these atc's was made using Eco-line inks, the ink was applied with a paintbrush.  The images were stamped and the green stones were added to top right of the green atc and the lilac stones were added to the inside of the flowers on the left hand side atc, you can only just see these, so may have to enlarge the picture.

Diamonds are Forever

This weeks theme over on Tuesday Taggers is diamonds.  I made this tag by using tattered rose and milled lavendar distress inks and lake mist adirondack ink to create the background.  The main image is stamped in purple twilight and I used a babywipe to smooth out the edges.  The diamonds are stamped with pink sherbet.  The word is inked in raspberry and the butterfly is a mix of several colours and then spritzed for a water coloured effect.  The edges of the tag have been snagged using a paper distresser and damson plum from the Nick Bantock range has been inked around the edges.  I added pink pearls to the left and fibres to the top.

4 x 4 - U - Page

U is for Underground.  I stamped red circles and went back over them stamping a blue horizontal line to make the underground symbols.  I printed out a line map and tore off the corner.  I added some of the names of the lines, along with a foam train which I outlined with a black sharpie and the letter U.

Alphabet Page 'S'

I've ended up with 2 pages for the letter 's'!!!  The snowflakes are stamped and heat embossed with white opaque embossing powder.  The background is a mixture of faded jeans and broken china distress inks and denim adirondack ink.  The 3d snowflakes were cut on the cricut and covered with silver and turquoise stickles.  The letters were cut from the hippy chick alphabet plate.

The background is spiced marmalade distress ink with water spritzed on whilst still wet and blotted off with kitchen paper.  The outside edge stamp is from a green pepper plate, as are the skull and hat.  They were stamped onto white card and cut out.  The hat was stamped again, the ribbon, feather and safety pin added to it and it was layered onto of the first using silicone to give it some depth.  Large clear gems were used for the eyes.  A web and a few spiders were stamped from the Lavinia range in black soot distress ink, as was the letter 's'.  I distressed the outside edges with a paper distresser and inked with black soot. So I guess this 's' can be for spooky, skull and spiders.

Susan, thanks for your comment, I've now linked the 2nd page up to the Haunted Design House Challenge which this week is Elegantly Evil.  No sure it's elegant, but there you go!!!!

Another 4 x 4 Alphabet Page

This is my 'V' page.  I hope you can guess what the V is for!!!!  The background was covered with old paper distressed ink and I stamped T!m's flourish with a beige colour from the autumn colour wave of the colorbox chalk set.  The main image is stamped in timber brown stazon and mounted onto subtle goldy coloured card.  The music paper has been coated in ice resin.  The ribbon is from a Thorntons chocolate box.  The flower is 3 layers and attached with a brad and I have added pearl gems to the row of lace.

Row of Houses

I have recently joined a fab yahoo group and one of the many swaps taking place is called 'row of houses'. The idea is to make 5 houses, they have to be within specific measurements and contain a face.  Top left has a piece of corrugated lining the roof, top middle is a piece of scrim housing a stamped image, top right has a corrugated roof.  Bottom left has a canopy and bottom right has a paperclip for the chimney!!!!

18th Card

This card was a happy accident as I wasn't planning on making it yet as it isn't until the 20th of October and I had no idea of what to make.  But over on KCUK group this months challenge is to use part of a stamp, cut it out and mount it onto something else.  I used the jeans from the PBS 'dreamer' plate, of course the colour is faded jeans distress ink, although on the photo they do look extremely bright, but they aren't!!!  Then I cut a nesties shape from a piece of red script paper (again this looks pink) and a larger one from a piece of green and gold card.  I like to use this as it sands back really, really well.  I run it through the big shot using the happy birthday embossing folder and distressed it with a sanding block.  So this was now shaping up to look like a male card, due to the image and the colours. I folded a piece of A4 card in half but it needed a little something else, so I cut a piece of the navy blue to matt but created a border down one edge with the EK Success bubbles border punch for a bit of variety. I cut the numbers from the Red Tag Sale alphabet cuttlebug dies and the letters from the Hippy Chick set and glued them on.

So thanks to Cath for the challenge and for the inspiration to make the card.
