My Time to Craft Challenge - Pockets

Made this arch for a challenge on My Time to Craft. This weeks theme was pockets. I covered the arch in lovely papers that I had been sent by a mate, stamped some flourishes on the right and at the top. Made a pocket, stuck it on the bottom left and put the image inside the pocket

Layers of Colour Challenge - Grand Opening

This week on Layers of Colour we were invited to create something that opens. Using my new stamps I created the above 4 x 4 and cut an opening in the middle

I created the inside so that when the flaps were opened you could see the little girl proudly wearing her crown!!!

Had fun with this one, thanks for the challenge

Theme Thursday Challenge - Woman Atc

This weeks theme on Theme Thursday was a woman Atc. I've used one of my favourite stamps for the main image using timber stazon ink. The background was created with my new CI stamp and my new Kelly Panacci stamps, one of which is a flourish!!!!

Weekend Taggers Challenge

This weeks challenge on Weekend Taggers was to make a circular tag. I covered the circle with white paper, used my Sir Tim scratches stamp to create the background and inked it all over with antique linen distressed ink. On my retail therapy trip today I bought a pack of clear stamps by Kelly Panacci and I just had to try them out. I got the giggles set. So I used some of these stamps with timber stazon ink. I added an image to the middle, made a hole and added some string

Make a Moo - Beige / Cream

This weeks Challenge on Make a Moo or Two was beige and cream. I have had to show mine on a darker background than normal, so it shows up

Rainbow Lady Challenge

This weeks challenge on Rainbow Lady was to choose one of your favourite stamps or images and do something different with it. Now those of you who know me, know that I just love my lady stamp, but I have only ever used it as a main image. So this time I decided to use it to create the background

Inchies

I am having an inchies swap with my mate Hilda as we keep entering all these challenges. The small world of inchies challenge this week was birds, but I don't like birds, so I made some different ones instead - hope she likes them as an alternative

Wednesday Stamper Challenge - Playing Cards

This is my entry to this weeks Wednesday Stamper Challenge. It was to alter a playing card. I covered mine with my new pale green paint, added a brighter green using my adirondak dabbers. I rounded the corners with my fancy edges punch. I used my Sir Tim scratches stamp with olive stazon ink to create more of a background and added an image and the word 'wicked'

Another Altered Photoframe

Went to my local craft shop today for some retail therapy and they had a sale on Jo Sonia paints, so I picked a few bottles up and had a play with them. I created this photoframe, with a pale green, pale blue and a purple. I stamped the leave images with olive stazon and added the embellishments which I'd previously made using my melt pot and added the letters to make nature

Think Monday Think Atc Challenge - Diptych

This one I made for my mate Hilda as she wanted to do a swap - she has already indicated on her blog through a different challenge that her favourite colours are green and brown, so they are the colours I used

I created the background by using various different stamps and shades of green. I stamped the images onto a separate piece of card, used timber brown stazon and then cut them out. Coloured them using distressed inks and glued them onto the background

I then proceeded to cut them into Atc sizes

And this is them swapped over!!!

Think Monday Think Atc Challenge - Diptych

This weeks challenge on Think Monday Think Atc was diptych

This is how it looked before I cut it in half

This is how it looked when cut in half

This is how it looked when I swapped the two cut pieces over

Sunday Stampers Challenge - Sisters

Felt a bit guilty changing my Friday 4 x 4 post to incorporate the challenge set this week on Sunday Stampers. So, I decided to have another go and this time made an atc

Lotstodo Summer Twinches Swap

Now I've done something that I don't usually do here. As you can see, I've used the same stamp for all of them. They are all still different though

Inchy By Inch Challenge - Postage Art

Made these inchies for a 'postage art' challenge on Inchy by Inch Challenge

World Of Inchies Challenge - Boys

These are my inchies for the World of Inchies Challenge. The theme this week is 'boys'. All 3 are stamped images

Lotstodo Week 10 Challenge

The theme on this weeks Lotstodo Challenge is 'Man's Best Friend', so I had no problems completing this challenge. Funnily enough I was in the process of making a card for Lauren who absolutely adores Fraser. It's her birthday very soon and this is her birthday card

And here is another house, this time the dog house

Lotstodo Houses Swap / TGIF Techniques

Man of the house and house of numbers

Clock house and dream house

The dream house and man of the house, I am also putting forward for the
TGIF challenge, as the theme is techniques. At the moment I am into masking and stamping and that is how I created the diamonds around the main image on the dream house and the crackle around the main image in the man of the house. Again, all 4 will be used for the Lotstodo swap

Dans Ma Maison - Green

This weeks theme for the challenge on Dans Ma Maison was 'green' and obviously you have to make your piece from a house shape, hence the 'Maison'. Again, these will double up for the Lotstodo swap, green house and tree house!!!!

Layers of Colour Challenge - Umbrella

For this weeks Layers of Colour Challenge you had to use an umbrella and at least one stamp. We also have a 'houses' swap on Lotstodo forum so I have added an umbrella to my gate house!!!

Dots & Stripes

The Make a Moo challenge this week is to incorporate dots and stripes

4 x 4 Friday Challenge & Sunday Stampers

This is my effort for the 4 x 4 Friday Challenge. The theme this week is favourite colour, so everything on mine is green!!! This will also double up for the challenge on Sunday Stampers which is 'sisters'

Rainbow Lady Challenge - Angels

I made this arch for the Rainbow Lady's Challenge, the theme this week is Angels. I covered the arch in a lilac paper. Used my one and only flourish stamp to stamp the edges in purple and blue colorbox fluid chalk ink. Chose my image and made some corner pieces by cutting up a frame. Then finally I stamped a piece from the CI Angels calligraphy stamp using purple stazon ink

2 Challenges in 1

Again, another opportunity to combine 2 challenges into 1 piece, so I decided on a fat page. Theme Thursday's challenge is 'transportation' and Mixed Media Monday was to use a 'map'. So the backing papers are from Sir Tim's collection along with the road signs. The car has been stamped onto patterned paper, cut out and stuck on using 3d foam, road trip has been stamped on the left at the top

Wednesday Stamper Challenge - Squares

I made this fat page for the Wednesday Stamper Challenge. The theme this week is 'squares'. You had to incorporate square items into your piece

Gothic Arch Sunday Challenge - Flourishes

These two arches I made for the challenge on Gothic Arch Sunday. You had to use flourishes on your piece. Unfortunately, I only have one flourish stamp, so had to use the same one on both arches

Inchies Numbers Swap

Another swap I've entered into on the forum I've just joined, inchies with a numbers theme

Faces on Inchies

Another challenge site I came across while blog hopping, InchByInch. As it states in the title, these are inchies and this weeks theme was faces

ART it up!

Was blog hopping as you do and came across a challenge called 'ART it up!' on Wednesday Stamper. All that was required was to use the word 'art' somewhere on your piece and to use a rubber stamp. So decided to do an atc and a moo

Altered Photoframe

This is my altered photoframe for a swap I am hosting on Lotstodo Forum. I gesso'd it, then lightly scrubbed olive and timber stazon ink all over the frame. Using cut n dry foam I then inked a combination of spiced marmalade, frayed burlap and peeled paint distressed inks over the top. Finally, I stamped script in each corner, a crackle image across the top and bottom and a key on each of the sides, all in timber stazon ink - To see the finer detail, you really need to click on the image

Zetti Swap

Just been invited to join another forum and I spotted this swap - an atc zetti swap, so I thought I'd give it a go

Skinny Mona

Was having a play. Used peeled paint and frayed burlap distressed inks, scratches and a PA script stamp to create the background on yellow card, as I have no white left!!! Then I printed off some images, cut them out and stuck them on. Made a hat out of stripy paper and coloured a pair of butterfly wings in using red brick distressed ink - voila!!!!

Lotstodo Week 9 Challenge

This is a fat page I've made for the Lotstodo Challenge, which this week is on the theme of Crafty Individuals. The background has been created using meadow, lettuce and butterscotch alcohol inks. The image CI-110 was stamped on to acetate with black stazon and I attached it to the fat page using green staples. I used olive stazon with Tim Holtz's scratches stamp along the left hand side and finished with the word 'treasure' using the CI-156 stamp

The background for this tag was created with latte, caramel and ginger alcohol inks. CI stamp CI-101 was stamped with a combination of olive and black stazon. A piece of acetate was stamped with timber stazon using CI crackle stamp CI-116, with a section masked off where the stamped image was to be placed. The image and acetate were attached using a small eyelet where the hole for the tag on the image would be and a further eyelet was used at the top of the tag. String and beads were added and finally the word 'beauty' was added on top of the acetate again from CI stamps range, CI-156

This is a large piece of jigsaw puzzle that I picked up from the 'junk' table at Paper Paradise. I have covered it in CI papers from the CI background book. The 'dream, inspire & believe' were stamped with the CI-156 stamp. The image top left, sunk into the bottle top and the image in the square frame are both from the CI People and Places Minitures Book and the other collage pieces are mainly what I was sent in a bag of PIF goodies. (PIF = Pass it Forward)

Just had to share these with you all. Mum bought him a new toy and he won't give it up - but it is nearly as big as he is!!!!

Happy Birthday Mum

This is the birthday card that I made for my mum. It didn't quite go to plan as the embossing folders I ordered were out of stock, so I had to improvise. I used a Fiskas plate instead. Don't know if you can see it that clearly but there is a border of swirls around the edge of the flowers down to the embossed crease line at the bottom. I used a piece of embossing that I'd created earlier and the Happy Birthday is stuck on to disguise the Fiskas name which I accidently embossed onto the card from the plate!!!! I made the bow and stuck it on too, as that hides one of the dots also embossed from the plate by mistake!!!!

Lotstodo Swap

I am hosting a swap on the Lotstodo Forum - We are doing a gothic arch, any theme with a black and white colour scheme. A moo, any theme with a brown and orange colour scheme and a skinny, any theme with a green and yellow colour scheme - these are my swaps

Lotstodo Week 8 Challenge

This weeks challenge on Lotstodo Forum was decoupage with an open theme. I chose to do a fat page. I stamped the same image several times and used different pieces each time in order to build up the main image. I chose the mustard seed and spiced marmalade distressed inks for the backgrounds and black stazon for the stamped images. I have taken a photo from the side view just so that you can see it is decoupaged because I think it's quite hard to tell from the original photo
