Blue, Blue & Green

The Summer of Colour challenge has started again and I also wanted to try out my new DecoArt Multi Surface Satin paints. Before I knew what the colour scheme was I'd already painted the MDF plaque with the chartreuse and deep turquoise. The paints are gorgeous, when dry they leave a sheen like it's been varnished, but it's not a glossy finish. It's hard to explain but they are lush and the colours so vibrant.

Stamped the Lynne Perrella PA image in black archival, masked it off and over stamped with 2 PA minis in blue stazon. Painted the outside border with night sky DecoArt multi surface paint to finish it off.

  1. Wow, how perfect for this weeks color. I love it! I also love your family pet member on the sidebar. What's his/her name. Definitely is cute and lovable. Breed? Thanks.

  2. I love the whimsical aspect of your image ---the combination woman and castle tower---or maybe the Queen on a chess board. Great with the blue and green.

  10. Seems I only visit during SOC or whenever Helen (H) and you hang out together.

I have heard about that paint, but I've never seen it in the craft stores here in the US. Your first SOC entry is gorgeous, and I like that you masked the main image off. I'm just learning to mask and my attempts leave something to be desired.
