Happy Birthday Card

Over at the PA blog Alison has been clear embossing Fresco paint and over at Stampotique this week, they are asking to see a new technique. Now although embossing isn't new to me, it is using it over a paint.

Close up of the embossed diamonds using pansy fresco through the stencil.  Love how it came out because it's pitted.

I added some script in seedless preserve distress ink, blasted it with the heat gun and then gave it a wash of watered down mushroom.

As I'd put a bit too much on in the top right hand corner I need to break it up, so stamped the happy birthday in seedless preserve onto a plain white heart.

The Stampotique image is one I coloured in a while ago whilst experimenting with the distress markers.

  1. Like this a lot, I found the embossing over paint great fun. Love how you've filled the gaps in the stencilling with the script stamp.
