A Springtime Tag
I coloured the background with distress inks, mowed lawn, wild honey, squeezed lemonade, ripe persimmon, salty ocean. I did the bump technique with circles stencil using seedless preserve and mustard seed distress inks.
I stamped the flowers from the PA Hot Picks 1004 plate in picked raspberry and pine needles distress ink, then over stamped them in black stazon. They looked slightly dark, so I got the white posca pen out to lighten them up a bit!! I took a couple of chipboard butterflies, coloured them with a few coates of limelight freso paint and added some eggplant to the wing tips and main body. I edged the tag in pine needles distress ink.
Over at Country View Crafts Challenge blog this month, they have a theme of butterflies. Stampotique's theme this week is flowers and Simon Says Stamp and Show have a very strict challenge this week where anything goes!!!
