Marbling Backgrounds

I had a little play today with oil paints and white spirits.

I mixed them together to make a liquid and using a pipette dropped the mixture into a tray of water.

I used a cocktail stick to swirl into the droplets.

Once I'd got an interesting pattern, I laid different types of card on the top of the water.

Some of the cardstock was glossy and some was matt.

Some was white and some was cream.

  8. Some lovely backgrounds there - love marbelling but always forget about it.
Have you tried shaving foam with reinkers dropped on? Then there's always the Smooches one I mentioned on my blog which I have just done at CHA.
Same results just different methods - but fun!
