Fabric Burnishing

I've been playing with materials again and finding out which ones burn the best!! I basically just piled a few left over scraps on top of a piece of dyed calico and added a tumble dryer sheet, a piece of organza and covered them all with a piece of netting.

This is a view of the back as you can see much clearer where I have sewn all across the fabric to try and hold it all in place. I am also quite pleased how neat the back looks now I have sorted the tension out properly!!!! Really should read the instructions - lol!!!!

And this is it after it has been attacked with the heat gun. I love the way the netting has curled and burnt around the edges.
