Over at PaperArtsy, Deb Freeman has created a project using a hanging board which you can see here. I used the same colour combo but a different stencil.

And different stamps, both of which where picked up at the show in Paris.

I stamped the above images onto the tag in black stazon.

I added more paint and used sapphire treasure gold over the textured grunge paste.

I coloured a piece of thick tissue paper with beach hut fresco, stamped the LP image in archival and cut it out. I stamped the letters on the scrap pieces and outlined them with the smudgy pencil.

Oriental Findings

Brayered background over stamped with oriental script and bamboo leaves.  LP image stamped on white card and mounted on a row of  chopped up wooden dowel sticks, then mounted on black card.

Arrow Head

Ermmmm, not really sure how this came about, was just playing and wanted to use the new arrows stencil I picked up from a French company whilst in Paris, so put cinnamon fresco paint through it and this was the result. I'd also stamped the huge LP30 image and cut it into individual pieces which fell onto the black and white strip. I though they looked like a film strip, so added them too as at this stage, I didn't want to cover up the arrows!!

Not sure where it will go from here!!

Alternative Cog

A number of colours of fresco used to get the background colour, T!m stencil with grunge paste coloured with treasure gold. Right side stamped in black archival using the small sketchy rectangle from EEV02 stamp plate. PA image stamped directly onto the background in black archival. 

Finally some script added to bring it all together.

Tone on Tone

Over on the PA Blog Ellen Vargo is back with her wonderful backgrounds. For her first project of the week she has altered a manilla folder which you can see here. As I don't really use manilla folders I just did pretty much the same thing but on pieces of card.

As she used her new stamp sets which I haven't got yet, I had to improvise.

I also didn't want to put the tissue paper on as I had a different project in mind for them.

Used small bubble wrap as one of the improvises.

A free circles stamp we got at the workshop in Paris.

Large bubble wrap which stamped out really well.

Both sizes of bubble on this one along with some of Ellens stamps from the other sets.

Admire

I've not used with any MDF for a while so I thought I'd get some out and have a play. Loads of colours of fresco used until I got it to something I liked. Stamped the LP image on a separate piece of paper coloured with distress ink, stamped in brown ink and hi-lighted in a purple gelli roll glaze pen.

Used a Stencil Girls mini stencil with grunge paste and coloured with a gelato.  Added splodges and script in royal purple stazon and used the leaf shaped sketchy stamp from EEV02 stamped in mustard and pumpkin stazon.

Made a border with one of my new 'flower' stamps from Paris.

Thank You Gift

Made a thank you gift with my WRMK envelope punch board for a friend who did me a huge favour a while back. Not saying who it was or what they did, but I was very grateful.

Inside is a pack of notelets with matching envelopes and a mini book all made from gelli prints.

T!m Tag - April

 

I pretty much followed what T!m did for the background on his April tag which you can see here.  Love how mottled it looked which is why I took a snapshot before it all got covered up!!!

Then I deferred and did my own thing. I left the framework pieces out as I don't have the die, but Lin had previously cut me some, so only have the solid innies to put back in!! Used the Eiffel Tower die cut and embossing folder which was quite fitting been as this time last week it was my first time in Paris and gave it a smidge of treasure gold. The flower is from Prima and the letters are idea-ology.

In a spin doodles

Over at the That's Crafty Challenge blog they are asking to see circles of some sort. Whilst at the show in Paris, I picked up a fab set of doodling stamps, which Emma still keeps teasing me about saying they are flowers!! I also picked up the circles background stamp there too. The quote is from a TH stamp plate.

Also over at Stampotique they have a challenge of use pen or paint and both have been used on the above make.

The Final Curtain - Inspired by PA

Over at the PA blog this week, Julie Ann has made a lovely project in her journal which you can see here, here and here as she show cased it over 3 nights. I don't do journalling so made a stand alone mini theatre piece by building up die cut negatives.

And this is just to give you an idea of the depth of each layer.

Paris Challenge #2

And the second Paris challenge, also set by Emma, was to use part of one of the fabulous tissues that Lin & Helen picked up from the shop when they ventured up the Arc de Triomphe. I also combined it with some of my new stash picked up from the Version Scrap show in Paris.

Oriental Tag #2

And whilst I was making the first one I also made this one too which I'm also entering into the Tag Along challenge.

Tag Along - Oriental

Over at the Tag Along challenge blog Deb has chosen this weeks theme of Oriental.  Although I've had a very busy week, I've managed to find time to join in.

Also Emma set us that went to Paris at the weekend a challenge to use some of the new stash we purchased. The background bamboo leaves stamp is one of my new purchases and although I didn't buy it, the oriental script is from a newspaper in the hotel that Lin found.

Our last day - Paris

Just over the road from our hotel was a huge market which mostly sold food and some clothing.

It was down the middle of the main street and ran all the way to end of the road.

There were lots of fresh seafood stalls, and I mean very fresh.

I was advised that this is octopus.

And the white stuff in the middle box is squid, Emma had to take this photo as I couldn't get that close!!

And the flower stalls were so colourful and the bunches were stacked so delicately.

Sea urchins amongst other fishy things.

Clams.

Then we reached the end of a row and saw lots of people gathered.

Today was the Paris marathon.

And we didn't realise that they were running past the end of our road.

Then we made our way to the train station to get on the Eurostar back to the UK.

We were going from platform 3.

Emma catching 40 winks on the Eurostar. Lin chatting to me and Helen sat opposite as we were lucky enough to get seated around a table again.

Tags inspired by Linda Cain

We all went to a workshop and half completed some tags. We used gesso through a stencil and coloured them using Izinks and that's as far as we got. Then we came back to the hotel and after reading the Linda Cain blog post here on the PA blog we decided to finish them off and enter them into this weeks challenge. They are all on separate posts in order for us to link up to the blog.

So come on give it a go, if we can link up from Paris, you can too!!!
