Altered Trading Block - ATB

The new ATC is an ATB as introduced by the wonderful Linda Cain over on the PA Blog. You can actually buy a Sizzix die for the boxes but I just made my own. Coloured them in a mix of blood orange and tango.  The squares are coloured with lime light, hey pesto and zesty zing.

I stamped the LP images and TH scroll in black archival onto the squares.  Once dry I gave them a dash of colour with orange and red posca pens, followed by the white for the cheeks. I edged them in black.

Now to the decs and feet.  I decided to use some wooden tiles, a clock face and a knob.

I coloured the sides of the wooden tiles black to make the feet.

Box assembled with feet and knob.

Another of the sides.

And another.

A view of a couple of the sides.

And from the other side.

The next.

And the last.

The top.

And finally the top angled to show one of the sides.

Considering they are hand measured and hand scored the two pieces fitted together perfectly and I had great fun with them.

  17. I was seriously taken with Linda's box Sam and you've done a fab job creating your own without the die. The only problem with these is that they'll be such a pain to post unless you make them as a flat pack to make at the other end!
