Forever Autumn

This inside out canvas happened by mistake. I was walking Fraz on Friday afternoon and I found a lovely piece of bark. I was wondering what I could do with it and continued to pick up bits of other things. Once home I turned over a 10 x 10 canvas and started to lay everything inside it. I took everything out again and used expresso, hazelnut and pearl acrylic dabber paints to paint the back of the canvas and the bare wooden frame. I glued everything back in place, got my wooden letters (another Canada find) , painted them with frayed burlap crackle and the above was created - It will all fall to bits at some point as it isn't treated with anything!!!!

  1. This is GORGEOUS! I may just have to steal this idea, I love it. Really beautiful. It won't necessarily fall to bits will it? If it's not being moved around or anything. Inspired.

  5. What a fabulous piece of art, Sam. I love the idea of using all the found natural items.

btw my DD made a scrapbook page using leaves and cones etc a few years ago and it's still okay. It hangs in the conservatory.
