Altered Book RAK From Kath aka LazyKay

This altered book was made for me as a RAK (Random Act of Kindness) by my good friend Kath aka LazyKay. The front cover is amazing. The image is printed onto fabric. The outside 'frame' has been heated and bubbled to create a fantastic effect, it's all squidgey!!!!

Images and such wonderful quotes have been added to the inside pages. Kath is excellent at finding fitting quotes

The texture on the left hand page is stunning, and I just love the image on the right with the piece of the jigsaw missing - perfect

Another stunning textured background on the left and obviously I just love the colours
But this has to be my favourite page. The spoon set in the remainder of the pages is fantastic
The drizzle around the frame and the felt box inside - wonderful
Close up of the fantastic spoon, just look how the handle had been twisted
And the acknowledgement in the back accompanied by another fantastic quote
This is the back cover and the spine
The book from the side, sporting the thick piece where the spoon is sitting
Thanks Kath, it really is fantastic and I know my photos don't do it justice, but I just wanted to share your creation with everyone - Thanks again, Sam xxxxx

  8. She is brilliant at what she does isn't she.

And she was kind enough to add a link on her blog to a tutorial if you haven't seen how they are done.

I just love it. All the textures, quotes, images and colours and I adore the slant of twisting the spoon handle to fit - on the tutorial they used a small dump spoon
